A beautiful place, run by a sweet couple.We stayed there only for one night but we wish we were not in a rush and could stay longer.They were very accommodating, the place was really clean, the breakfast was fresh and delicious. It was cute, calm and relaxing.

Very charming restored historic home with welcoming and wonderful hosts! We chose to stay here for our three nights visiting St. John as it is within walkable distances to good restaurants, the City Market and many other sites. Delicious and generous breakfasts were very enjoyable as were the many helpful suggestions about places to see and local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Carl and Jim are two of the most wonderful hosts you could ask for! Really friendly, outgoing, and accommodating. It's a great location, within a few blocks of all restaurants, bars, shops and parks in uptown Saint John. Great room, comfy sleep, super clean! No AC but you don't need it, it's Saint John. The room could use a mini-fridge but it's not a big deal, they let us keep stuff in the fridge downstairs.

This is a loooong overdue review. Embarrassingly so. My partner and I did a whirlwind tour of the Maritimes back in 2004 (I told you!), and we had the good fortune to stay at Mahogany Manor. The hosts and the home were absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in the front door we were made to feel so welcome. We shared some wine and stories in the front room and received some great restaurant recommendations. We got to spend some snuggle time on our bed with their cat, Harrison, who looked just like our cat we had at home. We drove out there from Ontario in a new car we just bought, and to maintain the warranty, we needed to have the first oil change done at a certain mileage. It happened to be right when we made it to St. John. We asked our host where the nearest Honda dealer was so we could get this done. When we got back from a brief outing, we were told that he booked the appointment for us! We didn't even ask. How is THAT for amazing service!? The food was great, the room was very comfortable, but our hosts clearly made this a most memorable vacation!

Stayed here in late-October 2021. Run by a lovely couple. The ground floor common area is generally clean and so are the rooms. It could use a little sprucing up such as the peeling ceiling. Great curb appeal, it has a lot of history which continues inside. A nice homemade breakfast is included in the price. A small discount if you pay cash. Also, Carl is a registered massage therapist, and guests receive a small discount too. Overall highly recommended.

This picturesque heritage home offers quiet and comfortable rooms full of character. The location is perfect. You will not be disappointed by the multi-course homemade breakfast. The hosts, Carl and Jim, even made our breakfast vegan-friendly. Come for a night, a weekend, or a wedding; the Mahogany Manor is a delight.

Jim and Carl were excellent hosts. We loved chatting with them about their history and the history of Saint John in general. We found Saint John to be a interesting, historical city and one of our favorite parts of our trip.The room was super comfortable and the house was so nice. Had we come in the summer you would have found us reading in the sun room.We definitely want to come back and we'd love to stay at Mahogany Manor again!

Amazing home with beautiful architecture and furnishings. Comfy bed and very quiet location. Fabulous breakfast - best we had of 7 nights of B&B's. Very nice hosts. This was a mother-daughter trip through part of the Canadian Maritime provinces.
