I've known Steve for a few years now - initially during my formative years when I didn't know any better and had ordered a suit from Indochino (and subsequently enlisted Steve's abilities to fix!) to now having Steve look after me and my groomsmen at my wedding. Long story short - Steve made a gorgeous suit for me and absolutely nailed the fit and finish; while my wife was the star of the evening, I looked every bit the part (in a classy, complimentary way) and felt amazing in my custom suit. If you have an eye for well-fitted, made-to-measure or bespoke menswear that is timeless in style, Steve is your man. He'll give you his time and honest advice to get you looking your best. A word of advice: give yourself enough time before your big day; the process of finding the right fit and finish is iterative - some would say an artform - so expect several visits, because Steve will give you his time to make sure the fit is perfect. Steve fit me for a custom suit for my wedding last summer. It’s the first suit I’ve had fitted in years, and I was searching for a business that would have a bit more of a personal touch. I’m so glad I came across Samson when I was shopping around. Steve gave expert advice and work was quick and professional. He also helped with a custom shirt in addition to the three piece suit. The fit is perfect and incredibly comfortable. I looked sharp for the wedding day and I love wearing the clothes for other dressy occasions. Alteration Testimony: I purchased a 'custom measured' suit when I was in China and the sizing was all off, the arms in the jacket was too tight, chest and mid section was too wide. This was back in January 2020, and I didn't want to ship it back to get it altered. I had heard about Steve from a friend and also looking around online. There were terms and concepts clearly shown from his years of experience, but more importantly he made me feel SO GOOD in the suit when he was done fixing it. Total costs to fix were about the same price as a new suit (understandable given the time needed to fix it), but I liked the colour and texture already, and there's 0 point to wearing a suit if you're not going to feel your best :) Thanks Steve!

I first visited Samson to get my existing suit checked for fitting/alterations about a month prior to my wedding. It was a suit I had purchased while traveling in Vietnam, which I thought was pretty good at the time, but something about it just didn't seem totally right, it didn't feel groom-worthy". For my wedding, Steve made tailored suits for myself and my groomsmen. He taught us about what a proper jacket and pant should be, with a focus on appearance and comfort/function. He listened to what we were looking for and was not shy to provide his expert opinion, which I valued. The product was the best suit that any of us have owned. The suits looked great but I was most impressed by the comfort. A well-made tailored suit truly feels different. I have since had another suit recut by him as well as shirts and slacks. I came across Samson's while searching online for a place to purchase a made to measure suit for my daughter's wedding this coming fall. I watched Steve's YouTube videos on his website and I was intrigued. When I called to make an appointment Steve did offer to do an online consultation because I live 130 kilometers away but I wanted the first hand experience.I met Steve at his store and thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of choosing the fabric for the suit, fabric for the inner panels and lining and the buttons. Recently, a friend was married and we needed 5 suits for the groom and groomsmen. Since I'm a Mens Stylist, I was asked to find suits for the wedding party. Nothing off the rack fit well, and it was impossible to find 5 of the same suits which fit. Steve went above and beyond to work around our 3-week timeline and he nailed the fit for all of us. He even worked in enough time in case any alterations were needed. The fabric Steve recommended was perfect for the groom. Its weave gives it the look of a linen yet the wool material leads to very few wrinkles and a fresh look. The medium light grey color works rather well in black-and-white photographs which pleased our photographer.So far, I've had two suits and two shirts made with Steve. I've seen his work on my friends' and family's suits and I have been consistently pleased with quality, fit, and value. Overall, Steve does an amazing job and I highly recommend him.
