Brake Check

I have used brake check a few times and each time had great service. This time, they replaced the rear pads and rotors on my Kia Sorento 2019 at just less than half the price of the dealership. Fantastic job, brakes are great and work was done in less than an hour. Fully recommended.

I had some noise coming from my wheels. I looked up brake places online and this one came up with very good reviews. I called and they were able to see me right away and they assured me that my brakes were fine I just had some debris and they cleared it away. Long story short he assured me that it wasn't my brakes. My F150 had rear brakes grinding. Called and they were available to take a look. Drove down, had them checked, and front brakes were reported as good. As suspected, rear brakes were done. Had a reasonable quote and agreed to the work and was in and out within an hour. This was a great experience without the dealership leave it for the day" hassle. I had an issue with my brakes which Brake check diagnosed and it turned out the issue was with the garage that had installed the brakes. I wasn't charged even though it must have been an hours labour..very impressed with the service.

My daughter's Ford Focus CV joints were starting to clack. A friend recommended Brake Check. Kevin quoted me a price $250-$500 less than anyone else. Drop off in the evening, picked up next afternoon. The car runs smoothly ever since. I was so pleased that when my minivan literally lost all brakes suddenly, he told me to bring it in the next day and he was able to find 1 small pinhole leak in the line to the rear tire. He fixed the leak, bled the lines and topped up the brake fluid, <$200 all in.Now my car has hit a Calgary pothole so deep and sharp it cut the sidewall on my tire and broke the shock and mount. You can bet I will be taking my car to him.I don't understand some of the reviews about arrogance and attitude. I find Kevin quite approachable and friendly. I could easily sit and talk about cars, sports etc. for hours. He's also earned my trust that he won't gouge me at the cash register either. My thoughts are that a lot of his business is repeat customers. Keep up the excellent job Kevin, don't ever change.

Had excellent service taking my VW here this morning! Service was quick and friendly, price was more than fair, and there was no upsell for additional parts. I came in expecting all four breaks needing replacement, but was assured my front two were healthy and only needed work on the back two. Would bring my car here again!

A fantastic shout out to Brake Check on 16 Ave. They did an entire brake job on my car from a call in the morning to new EVERYTHING by the afternoon.
