Always a pleasant staff cross 3or 4 times a week should sell monthly pass. Also glad to see the extended hrs this year 11 pm would be great but 10 better that 9 for sure. Wishing all at Ecolos a great prosperous season with great weather.

Never knew this crossing existed. A delightful five-minute ferry ride across the Ottawa River. Treated with the utmost courtesy by the attending staff.

The only reason why I give it one star is because of the convenience of WHEN it's open. Really bad business operator. It very selfish of the business owner when. He opens for his convenience and not that of his customers. We are dependent on using the ferry but it's closed when there is the smallest of hardships. Sell your business or let's build a bridge.

Heads up, they only take cash! No contactless or electronic payments accepted. Was not posted anywhere on website or at the dock. It was not until we were on the ferry that we were informed of this. They will hold onto a piece of ID and give you directions to the nearest bank to get cash. Ride itself was smooth and quick, however frustrating that cash only requirements is not better posted.

Update: I checked the ferry website today and read that it is now closed for the season.I have used this ferry service several times and have always been happy with the result. I last used it on Monday, December 19, as well as Saturday, December 17 right after the major snowstorm in the Ottawa region. I was unsure if the service was going to be open after the snowstorm, but to my happy surprise it was still running.
