Iron Mountain Wilderness Cabins

We stayed at I.M. for a night on our trip across the east coast! We wish we could have stayed for weeks lol! Grant & Jess we’re such a bonus to our stay - amazing people. I definitely felt at home and am eagerly planning our return! The cabin was spacious, cozy and the bbq was excellent! The bedding was super comfy! The other cabins are within sight but it was a peaceful stay. The bathrooms were clean and easy to use. We highly recommend Iron Mountain - be sure to have a cold one on tap!See you guys soon - E & D

Truly family and dog friendly! The cabin is clean and spacious. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Grant and Jess are welcoming and friendly. We can here with two teens and everyone loved it.

The best hosts in Cape Breton. Jess and Grant were a pleasure to deal with. We even had to change our reservation, they were more than accommodating. Their cabins were clean and comfortable with an awesome Barbeque on the deck.

Great spot to stay if you're looking to relax in the peace and quiet with nature. A great view up on the mountain from your cozy heated cabin with a comfy queen bed. The main lodge is warm and cozy with the woodstove going and hot showers to enjoy after a day of adventures. A unique place to stay as it's all off grid and they are environmentally conscious with everything they do from natural cleaning supplies to recycling. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a weekend away in the woods with the creature comforts of home. Grant and Jessica were fantastic hosts. Ask Grant about his amazing cooking skills. They are very dog friendly too so don't leave your pooch at home.

We spent a perfect weekend at these amazing cabins!The owners are wonderfull people that really love what they are doing!We did a couple of perfect hikes around the property and spent the evening enjoying the beautiful quiet mountain air.We will be back again when the snow falls.

For those of you who haven't been to Iron Mountain Wilderness Cabins, you don't know what you are missing. Grant and Jess are excellent hosts. Pristine views, warm, spacious cabins and an inviting lodge with a fine selection of Scotch and craft beer from Unfiltered. Spend an afternoon in the lodge, or spend the night in one of the cabins, taking in some quality time on the mountain - either way, you can't go wrong.

Spacious beautiful cabins in the middle of the woods. At the last minute we decided to drive from Halifax to the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, and decided to book a cabin through Air BnB. The hosts were super friendly, the cabins were brand new and the lodge was amazing. I have never done Off the Grid" before

We really enjoyed our stay at Iron Mountain. Jess & Grant were gracious hosts and they have created an amazing oasis in the CB wilderness. The cabins are clean and cozy - the perfect place to unplug and unwind.

What an amazing place to slow down, connect with nature and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of Cape Breton. The cabin and lodge/restrooms are fabulous off grid facilities. Jess and Grant are absolutely stellar hosts and I can't wait to return again. By far one of my favorite weekend getaways.

This spot is a real gem nestled in the hills overlooking Whycocomagh and the Bras D'or Lakes. The cabins are spacious and comfortable with spectacular views. The off-grid lodge and pub is inviting and cozy and Grant and Jessica are excellent hosts. If you love the outdoors, snowmobiling, hiking, trail running, mountain biking etc. etc. etc. this is the spot! We will definitely be back and I'd love to check it out all four seasons!
