Vincent was so informative and friendly! We really enjoyed the tour, learned a lot, and also appreciated the attentiveness (including a reminder email with great tips on dressing for the extremely cold weather). We had such a great time, and would definitely take another tour with Vincent next time we're in town (perhaps in warmer weather)!

We had an insightful and entertaining time with Xavier that managed to show us all the key sights in the Old town in 2 hours!. We leave Quebec with a much better understanding of Quebec's founding in 1608 through its transitions till modern Quebec today. Xavier also provides good pub and food recommendations during the walk too. Highly recommended. :)

We enjoyed our tour around Old Quebec. Xavier was knowledgeable and entertaining. We definitely recommend the tour as a must for the first days of stay! Helpful tips as far as where to shop, eat and find restrooms were awesome as well.

We completed a four hour private tour with Xavier. He is a fantastic guide: knowledgeable, entertaining, accommodating, and flexible. Xavier prepared an ancestral/genealogy tour for us and his presentation was detailed and intriguing. If you have French-Canadian ancestors, I highly recommend you send Xavier a pedigree chart or list of ancestors and he will provide information that you may not have discovered. You will leave with a better insight into your heritage and a better understanding of Quebec history and how the cultural, political, economic, military, and religious influences created this remarkable region. Highly recommend him, as well, if you want a concise and thorough presentation on Quebec City history.

Xavier did an exceptional job with our tour. There were four of us representing two different family trees. He had researched both and made our tour quite personal to us. I thought I had done a lot of research before coming on the tour, but Xavier added so much more. It exceeded our expectations in all respects. I wish this type of tour was available elsewhere.

The tour was amazing! Xavier was great at ensuring we learned a lot about Quebec City, the history and culture.Xavier was also very personable and responsive of any questions we may have had.He kept the tour interactive and focused on all Quebec City has to offer with local places to eat and tour also.When Xavier says dress warm please do not take his advice lightly, but even if you weren’t prepared he was accommodating with warm stops and heat packs to chase away the cold.10/10 recommend using him for your next tour of Quebec Cityy!!

I cannot say enough about the diligence, insight and enthusiasm Xavier showed in helping me research the history of my Norwegian ancestors' immigration to Quebec. My initial email contained a formidable request; “I am looking for someone to help me identify the buildings my grandmother would have seen when her ship landed in Quebec in 1866 and find photographs of the city and port from that period.” Xavier responded immediately and within a few days had provided me with what became the foundation of my understanding of her travel experience. He sent me copies of historical images and newspapers from that time and, when we met, was able to take me not only to the relevant sights in Quebec but also in Levis.In addition to being a very nice person and exceptional researcher, Xavier is an excellent guide to the general history of Quebec. He loves history and it shows. We could not have met our objectives for our trip without his guidance and support.

Thoroughly recommend taking a tour with Xavier. Having an extensive knowledge of the area, managed to incorporate so much history whilst making the tour interesting and fun and engaging.

I took one of their winter walking tours with the tour guide Xavier. He was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely take another tour from him and this company. The entire event was thoughtfully planned and there were lots of opportunities to ask questions and learn more about what interested you most.The event was also great value for the money. My only regret is that I didn't have cash on me to tip our tour guide. I was suprised and pleased that it was so reasonably priced for how knowledgeable our guide was and the extensive tour. He even stayed after to answer any extra questions we had, you didn't feel like you were being rushed along to fit a time slot.If I visit in the summer, I'll definitely take the women of quebec history walking tour! There are also private ancestry tours available if you have French-Canadian ancestors that lived in Quebec city. They tailor the tour to your family tree specifically.
