1. Buttered chicken - Doesn’t taste like a “buttered” chicken at all, for some reason it taste like orange juice with some cream.2. Goat Biryani - this one is the only one that taste a little bit better than the rest of what we ordered. The biryani very spicy, can’t even eat at all even if we requested for “mild” spicy.3. Garlic Naan - does not taste like “garlic” at all. Just taste like a plain Naan with oil not even butter. Also the waiter was a bit rude, not accommodating at all and does not even smile. It looks like she doesn’t like her job. Also, their washroom is very dirty.I’m sorry but I do not understand why this restaurant got a “4.6” rating because the quality of the food is not very good. We went to this restaurant because we thought it’s good as per rating, but it’s not!

Enjoyed our lunch here. Mutton soup was little sour and Chicken Malai Tikka was awesome and tender. Loved the mutton Briyani and chicken Briyani. Salt lassi was good too. Hospitality was great.

We usually order food from here and it used to be so good in starting days. Today we ordered cut mirchi and it was one of the worst food I ever had. Usually, it used to be good in the beginning days but for some reason this is insane and tastes more bitter than neem leaves. I sincerely request these guys to please maintain the standards of the items being served in the restaurant and prepare them fresh not like serving old or re-fried/over cooked foods to the customers. The “CHARMINAR” restaurant itself in the initial days used to be a symbol for quality and taste, after having food today from there, I feel like writing this kind of awkward review.

The authentic Briyani experience. We were in town and looking for a good spot for Lunch. We stumbled upon this restaurant as we were browsing. They are located in downtown London so very difficult to reach on a weekday. However, on the weekend it was easily accessible. The parking is the most difficult task given the location and construction going around. There is only one option - public parking which is paid on the weekdays. There are limited spots across the street and the other spots can be found on the nearby streets. They have wheelchair accessible entrance but the washrooms do not have wheelchair accessibility or doors. The men's washroom was not properly cleaned and would highly recommend regular cleaning. The ambiance was really good, the restaurant was overall clean and the staff was very helpful in explaining the choices. We ordered Tomato Soup, Chicken Dum Briyani and Malai Chicken. We loved the Briyani, it was really well cooked with all the flavors. The chicken pieces were with bone and the quality was fresh and good. They served with Salan and Raita. The quantity of one Briyani is good for 2 people. We didn't like the tomato soup and Malai Chicken. The soup tasted ok and the croutons in the soup didn't taste fresh. The quality of boneless chicken used didn't taste good. The chicken was too stiff and didn't taste fresh and soft.Overall, we would highly recommend this place for Briyani and not sure about other items on the menu. The next time we are in town we would definitely visit them again for Briyani and maybe some other chef specialty items on the menu.
