Let's campground is a cute quaint little place out in calabogie... Staff and residents are very nice very friendly it's a very communal place. State of the campground not in a hotel or any of that. Only one office and store on site at the campground and two small store sell liquor store and a variety store nearby in town so be prepared with lots of stuff from home.

Very helpful staff, laid back environment and nice little beach made for a perfect headquarters between trail rides! Trails start right at the end of the campground driveway, perfect spot for off road enthusiasts. The only word of warning for the campground is make sure you bring some shade (tarp/awning/umbrella) with you as some of the sites are not well shaded. No big deal with an awning but best to be prepared!

I ended up hospitalized a week prior to my visit and was unable to go. They did not care, and refused any money back or a rebook with the 1 week notice and they charged a cancellation fee. 100% will never book here again. They do not care about their customers, only the bottom line. I'll be booking with businesses that can at least feign human compassion.

The owner is a very easy going man, who wants the best for his clients. There was a mix up with my reservation this weekend and the owner was very eager to fix things. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this campground. It is also in a beautiful location, very close to the hiking trails and the water.

Part ONE:If I could give 0 Stars, I would. We were so excited to lock in a spot at Calabogie Lakeside Camping & RV Resort for this year. I contacted the owner, Sylvain, on March 24th, 2022 to request a seasonal spot. He replied that he would keep a spot for my family. We spoke on the phone and I asked about payment to which he responded we would worry about that later. On May 17th I texted Sylvain again to ensure he did have a spot reserved for us. He replied that he needed a couple more days (this reply took place on May 19th) and asked the particulars about our trailer. I also inquired once again about the cost and payment, to which he replied we would settle up later. On May long weekend we went to visit the campground and pay our dues. The woman in charge said to Sylvain over the phone, how are you going to get out of this one as they didn't have any spot for us. Sylvain said he would have a spot and when we finally came up again in June to prep our lot, the lot was nowhere near ready. We trimmed the trees, cleaned up the spot, etc. with no assistance from the park. Then we were promised we could use the equipment to help further things along in regards to our lot. Upon arriving with our camper on July 1st weekend we discovered that our lot had no hydro, was not ready and had giant rolls of wire and logs on it. We were also told by the head of the park (he was very comparable to Mr. Lahey of the Trailer Park Boys) that our lot was not ready because we had not paid. I, personally, went to speak to the owner the next morning as I was mortified they were saying we had not paid our dues when I had tried to pay on 3 separate occasions. The owner told me that this was his right hand man and although he shouldn't have said that in front of other people, he was just doing his job in telling us we needed to pay. I was disgusted by the unprofessionalism and told the owner this. He became cross with me and then I went after him about the lack of hydro and he told us to put our fridge on propane which our trailer does not have. He even accused me of not knowing about the trailer (even though it was a brand new 2022 and we just had a walkthrough of it at the dealership) and insisted on going into our trailer to prove there was propane. After seeing for himself that we did not have propane, he plugged our unit across the road into his hydro as all of our food would have spoiled. He assured us the lot would be cleaned up and they would fix everything. I also want to point out that this was our very first weekend staying up there and we arrived late Thursday night, and I went to the office to pay (my fourth and final attempt) our dues first thing Friday morning. We thought perhaps things were not being completed because they hadn't received our dues so we made sure to fix this. I even showed the owner's wife the text messages from her husband telling us we would settle up later as nothing was ready. She told me she believed me and that he constantly makes deals and doesn't remember them. I told her this was not a good way to do business and that I document everything. I signed the contract that morning as well after thoroughly reading it over. The following weekend we did not go to the camper as we had other engagements. Two weeks later we returned to our camper with our two children and were greeted with a massive roll of wire on our lot and a log splitter. This is a lot we paid handsomely to rent. We were told the lot fees were $2,500 but upon payment and all the additional charges which included hydro that was not hooked up, internet that did not work and other misc. charges the total ended up being $3,264.50.

Overpriced for the service they offered. They have a sign, at the only 2 toilets available, that says campers have abused toilet paper and will not provide it anymore. If you don't know where toilet paper is used then you don't know that it is meant to be abused! Seriously, I will not recommend this camping since it is not beside the lake as the picture shows.

Terrible customer service.Unfair and illegal cancellation policy. Many other campgrounds allow guests to cancel within 24-48 hours of booking or charge a small penalty but allow guests to cancel. I had to cancel the booking because others in my group became unavailable at the last minute. I received a curt and rude response from the nameless “Accounting Department” with no attempt to remedy the situation, offer partial refund, credit, or reschedule the booking. They charged without delivering any service.According to the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, a customer has a 10 day cooling off period to cancel an agreement. This business’s cancellation policy is illegal and I will be making a complaint to the bureau.I had a terrible experience with this business, regret ever getting involved with them, and would not recommend them.

Very nice camp ground with average sized translate sites. Owners are very friendly and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable from what I have seen. Delivered fire wood to our site and even pulled it under the trailer. They have added to the camp in the last three years I understand and don't have the septic lines all hooked up as things all take time. But you just let them know your black tank is getting full and they will come pump it out for you. They still have some things to finish but that is normal for any business that is growing. We have been here only a couple days of our week vacation and we are very happy we have chosen this camp to stay in. Nice beach and water access.

Booked at the last minute for a weekend in September 2021 and had an excellent stay. Live band on Saturday nights for those who wanted to enjoy music. Beach and playground areas for the kids. Although many reviews state no sewer hookups, they will come to your site and pump for no charge. They are waiting for approval, so they do have sewer, just not all cleared to use yet. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Wood is decent, very dry, great gor campfires and offered in 2 different quantities. Will be going to visit again!Back again in 2022 and enjoying a peaceful campfire!
