Update: They no longer accept most things your curbside recycling won't take. But they're still the same friendly, helpful people.--------------------------------They accept almost everything - including styrofoam and all kinds of batteries. They even have a bin for books - and people are welcome to take a book if they see one they want. Check their website, though - there are a few things they can't accept.

First time going there. I had a truckload haul. Everything was organized and sorted ,nicefolks that work there. No back up or wait times it was around 11 am on a Sunday.Thanks for making a mundane task easygoing .

Well run center. They fill a void for Detroiters that do not have curb side pickup. Very nice, courteous employees.

Appreciate the hard work this group does. We bring styrofoam to recycle (and a generous donation!) every few weeks. One of the few places that takes items that many other places don't.

Friendly folks trying to make help you with your eco-guilt. But a real asset to the city. I do recommend that if you go on a weekend to self-sort your recyclables a little bit first to help speed the process.

Such an incredible organization. I love coming here because I know what I recycle will actually be recycled. It is also a great place to learn about recycling. The people working at Recycle Here are very knowledgeable. When I have out of town guests we start our Saturday at Recycle Here! It's a unique experience for visitors.

Absolutely the funniest way to ♻️. I have brought friends and family and everyone has had an amazing experience in doing their part. I've never came across anyone or a group of people that's made recycling so educational and fun!
