Revera Windermere on the Mount

My mother just moved into Windermere on the Mount this week and we are all delighted with this choice as it has already been such a postive experience!Our family researched various options before deciding on Windermere on the Mount - the staff exceeded expectations right from initial inquiry through to move-in day. The team went above and beyond to help us efficiently arrange everything ... and in record time.The setting at Windermere is beautiful, the building is light-filled and welcoming and having access to the Chapel for Mass, especially during these unique times, has been so significant for my mother. Our thanks to the caring, careful and professional staff who have helped make this choice such an outstanding one!

Everyone is so kind

When it was time for us to sell our house and think about moving to a retirement residence we did our homework and toured quite a few facilities. We chose Windermere on the Mount for several reasons. Windermere on the Mount was not built as a retirement residence, it was renovated to become a retirement residence. As such it has the feel of a hotel or upscale apartment building. The grounds are like no other in London. It is situated up on a hill overlooking the Thames River. There is a large patio and walking paths. Nature is everywhere. The staff are professional and are always willing to assist in any way they can. Windermere is a community of wonderful people from every walk of life. There are so many activities and events here. There is something for everyone. Windermere on the Mount is a welcoming caring community of residents and staff.

Even though they advertise that light housekeeping is included, that is a big farce. I know of a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, living room and kitchenette, where the light cleaning is rather pathetic. An employee gets 40 minutes to clean the premises. Anything below the waist never gets dusted. The chair legs in my relative’s apartment were grey!!! Full of dust. When I questioned the cleaning staff, I was told that dusting belongs to “spring cleaning” !!! This is supposed to be a high quality home. I think it is elder abuse. Seniors are too afraid to complain, they can not move themselves and are always dependent on relatives. It is time that the seniors get the service they deserve for what they pay for. I was told, dusting could be done but for an extra half hour charge per week. One way to raise their rates!!! Even though I am 78 years old, this would be my last choice. I will never recommend Windermere on the Mount to anyone!!! P.s even though they say things have been corrected, they have not!!!!

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here. As the the management team are rude and aggressive. I was fired for calling in sick. I was not respected for the hardwork that I did during the pandemic times. I work in other nursing home but haven’t worked terrible one than this

A good retirement living

The Academy put on a great Xmas show, everyone was amazing. I sujest anyone go and see one of their shows, the kids are great performers.. Thank to Windermere on the mount for letting them use their facilities...

Windermere on the Mount has been my employer for more than ten years. The management staff have been more than accommodating for my entire tenure. It has been a privilege to work in such a wonderful building among the greatest residents anywhere.
