A/Maze: Escape Game Old Port

I came here today as a group of 6 for The Secret of a Shipping Empire. It took about 1.5 hours to complete and it was outdoors. The puzzles were well set up and the whole experience was great. I would recommend it, it was my first time doing an outdoor escape room and I was pleasantly surprised.

What an A/Mazeing experience!We played the outdoor game where you are given a box to open from the provided clues. You search around the old port (within 1km radius of A/maze) to solve the mystery, once done tou are rewarded with a secret potion! A fun game to play with friends

The design and decorations of the place was beautifully set up! It had a steampunk vibe with a bar. There were multiple puzzles you could play around with while you waited. We participated in the Tesla escape game which was perfect for 3 people. We also played the pirate chest puzzle in the waiting room which was $20 per person as well. The pirate treasure chest was a well designed large puzzle box which took us around 45 minutes to do. Overall, our game master Edwin, I think, provided perfect hints throughout both activities at amazing timings! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an activity near the old port!

We did the Secrets de l'Empire Maritime an outdoor scavenger hunt styled game. As tourists it was great we got to learn about a lot of old buildings in Montréal while looking for clues to unlock the box. It took us 2.5 hours to complete mainly because we kept getting distracted with the sights and sounds lol but it was a great day and fun to discover new things about the city. Plus we got a cool drink at the end for completing the game. I highly recommended this game for anyone who likes the amazing race lol just make sure you go on a nice day because that game in particular is outside. The girl at the front desk/bar told us about other games that are fun at different locations. The staff was great they gave us advice on cool restaurants and cafes and attractions that are worth seeing. If I ever find myself back in the city I’ll be sure to come back and play another game.

Fun experience, the shop is up on the stairs of the corner of the block.The two-person pirate event is done in their lounge, so not in the private room. It’ll be loud depending on the guests coming in for the escape room. We had a group of girls loudly laughing, so we had trouble hearing our challenge.The staff are friendly, and it’s great with friends on a visit to old port.

This place is a little difficult to find, just go a little down the street down and you will see the entrance. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, as soon as you arrive you are offered water and a bathroom break. The game was challenging, but manageable with good team work.

Great experience here! I had low expectations as the room seemed very small online with little to no details as to what to expect. But really, the escape experience was amazing! Drinks are the bar afterwards was great.

we did the outdoor escape game and it was so cool! saw a bunch of historic buildings, and getting our steps in in downtown montreal. a definite stop by if you are passing through.
