Terracentric Coastal Adventures

We did the half day zodiac boat tour. I loved hearing about the history of the area and taking in the view. We didn't catch a glimpse of any whales but we did see some seals! I loved the flexibility of the tour as Matt, our captain, stopped so we could snorkel around a tiny island. Next time I'm in Lund I plan to do the full day tour to explore the sound further!

Great friendly helpful office staff. Beautiful boat trip in the paradise of Desolation Sound. Knowledgeable guide shared a lot of information regarding the history of the area. Highly recommend this trip to everyone and we will do it again sometime in the future

Spent the day on a Zodiac tour with Christine - exploring around Cortez Isld., and middlenatch Island. Knowledgeable and skilled guide. Professional and funny and one of the best memory making adventures we’ve been on - two teens, a child, and a mom and it was incredible for all ages:). Looking forward to our next trip!

Fantastic tour into the Desolation Sound Marine Park! Beautiful ocean and islands with scattered wildlife such as seals, sea lions and lots of fishing birds!The boat captain Simon was very personal and knowledgeable about the history and geographic of the area. He only only lead us to see the above mentioned wild life, he even stopped the boat for us to dip into the warm water to swim and snorkel! We had a great time yesterday! Thank you so much Simon! We booked the 6hours tour to Desolation Sound. Everthing went smooth, we booked the tour via telephone. When we arrived at the office of Terracentric Coastal Adventures we had a nice welcome. Paperwork was done quickly and the tour started on time. Our Skipper David was just wonderful. He had a lot of knowledge about the Desolation Sound, the wildlife and the history of the First Nation. Also a super sense of humor and many stories to tell. He made the tour extra enjoyable.We highly recommend Terracentric Coastal Adventures.

Renting kayaks for our 5 day trip to Desolation Sound with Terracentric Coastal Adventures went really well. They had a larger size kayaks ready for our longer stay to accommodate rather larger food and H2O supplies , booking went smoothly and the staff was very kind. We got few tips from the educated and experienced staff for our trip as well that helped us along the journey.

We were so amazed with our 3.5 hour tour of Desolation Sound with Terracentric. We were lucky to have Dave as our Captain and guide. He was so helpful and knowledgeable! We saw an abundance of marine life and birds. Dave informed us of the rich history of the area from First Nation settlement and archeology to the surveying of the coastline, to the later development of Lund and neighbouring island communities. It was also really incredible to swim in the warm waters of Desolation Sound. Thanks so much to Dave and what a great opportunity to see all of the beauty of this region of BC!!!

I've done four or five tours in about 10 years with Terracentric. I like to showcase the more wild regions of the area when friends and family come to visit. We were made to feel safe and comfortable. The food served at lunch was home made, locally sourced, sufficient to sate us and fantastic. The guides are well trained and knowledgeable as to the geography, biology, and history of the area. First Nations relics, sacred sites, and village sites were explained with reverence and respect for the original inhabitants of this land, the Klahoose, Homalco, and Tla'amin, whose territory we were travelling through.We did the 8 hour Desolation Sound and Beyond tour, and although not cheap, was certainly great value for the cost. Each tour can provide different opportunities for wildlife and nature viewing. We travelled alongside a pod of orcas on this recent trip! On another trip, which was later in the season a few years ago, we saw sea bird nesting coloniesI'm sure I'll be taking a tour with Terracentric Coastal Adventures again.

Dave took us out into Desolation Sound a couple of days ago. What a treat! Loved our cruise and we would hands down do it again. Stopped at all the right spots for pictures, explained certain sights beautifully and turned around for us to see/photograph a pack of dolphins that went by. We saw a whale from afar (spray and tail) and the islands in the Sound where stunning. Prideaux Haven was one of the most beautiful sites we have seen. Save is an excellent guide.The 3.5 hours cruise was just right for us. Christine has an awesome sense of humour eventhough we just briefly spoke to her on the phone. Great customer service. Highly recommended!

What an incredible experience! My wife and I went on a zodiac tour of desolation sound with our guide Jan. Jan was personable and very knowledgeable. We saw pictograms, seals, eagles, and orcas - amazing!
