I recently hosted a brunch at my home for a gathering of 15 to 20 people, and I decided to order from Dhaliwal Sweets, an Indian restaurant located in Vancouver. I must say, the experience was absolutely delightful, and the food they provided exceeded all expectations.The star of the show was the Fish Tikka. The perfectly marinated fish had a tantalizing blend of spices that created a burst of flavors with each bite. The fish was incredibly tender, moist, and cooked to perfection. It was evident that Chef Harry possesses remarkable culinary skills, as the Fish Tikka was nothing short of a masterpiece.Another highlight was the Tandoori Chicken. The chicken was succulent, juicy, and had a smoky, charred flavor that was absolutely addictive. The marinade penetrated deep into the meat, resulting in a dish that was bursting with rich, aromatic flavors. It was evident that the chicken had been cooked in a traditional tandoor, as it had that authentic touch that sets it apart from the rest.The entire spread from Dhaliwal Sweets was a testament to their commitment to quality and authentic Indian flavors. The food arrived promptly and was presented beautifully. The flavors were vibrant, the portions generous, and the service exceptional.I highly recommend Dhaliwal Sweets for any occasion, whether it's a small gathering or a larger event. The flavors and quality of their food are truly exceptional. I can't wait for my next opportunity to indulge in their delectable dishes. Best restaurant that makes delicious indian delicacies. I’ll highly recommend this restaurant to all the esteemed review readers, for the food is S class in everything, from taste to texture; furthermore, the staff and the chefs are really polite and nice. Also, I’d like to admire “Harry paji”, for being an awesome chef. “Paaji aa comment tuhade leyi!”

I placed an order of paneer pakora and I was running late due to which I requested them to get it ready soon. After 5-7 minutes a tall girl called me back and told me that my order is ready. She is also helped me to take my order to my car. It is very appreciable and thank you for your good customer service.

Chef Harry isn’t honest! I asked for fresh tandoori chicken and the chicken he gave me wasn’t fresh and was spoiled. It’s not the first time this happened. But it’s been a regular occurrence. That’s why I wanted to write.While picking up my order from the restaurant I opened the tandoori container and realized straight away that the chicken wasn’t fresh and the temperature of tandoori chicken was cold.So I asked if I can talk to harry (so called the new chef). I told him what’s going on. But harry was adamant that the chicken was fresh and argued with me. I’ve been coming to this location for past 15 plus years and I know when the quality is not right. Not my first time ordering tandoori but last few times I’ve been given spoiled food. That’s why today I finally decided to write a review to get the OWNER’S ATTENTION!My family and I we’ve been eating chicken daily since childhood. So we are aware of how chicken is after minutes of cooking and sitting out and being reheated!Harry you might fool new and naive customers that aren’t familiar with our Indian food or our culture.Plus my parents mentioned the same that the chicken isn’t fresh and has been reheated.Harry is incompetent for this role as a chef. He’s not honest and thinks he can fool ppl. The only person he’s fooling is himself and his future!

Tried this place for the first time, I ordered 7 noodle patties and a mango cake. Noodles were completely burnt in 4 patties and they gave strawberry cake instead of mango without even asking.

Fantastic - only ever ordered takeout so I can't speak to the vibe of the place itself really, but the food is phenomenal. Shahi paneer is the best I've ever had, perfectly balanced & the cardamom level was exactly right. Their butter chicken is also good, mixed pakoras were amazing and there were so many, the leftovers were good for a couple days too. One of my fave Vancouver spots - plus right near a breka if you don't like Indian desserts as much but want something sweet after your meal :)

Dhaliwal is a one to go place for North Indian cuisine. From assortment of quick bites, sweets, chai, savories, and main course......this place offers a variety to choose from. Best part is that they are open 24 hours, so satisfying a late night craving within the reach of city limits is possible.

I always put a note to continue the order only if it is fresh but they send which is not fresh..the cracks on the sweet reflect its more than 5 days old
