Food was tasty at a good price. HK style cafe and good service. Ingredients were basic but overall food was quite greasy and not the most healthy selection. Not a bad choice if you don’t have to wait in line and are looking for a quick lunch spot.

Cafe De Hong Kong 良心冰室
This is our frequently visiting spot for a casual meal. Their hainan chicken rice, pineapple buns, fried chicken with fries, and the milk tea are our favourite dishes. Delicious and big portion with such a reasonable price, it’s a rare find nowadays!Service wise it’s good and fast too!

Went for late lunch. Still had to wait but they had a convenient Yelp sign in.Service was fast and efficient. Tea was ready at the table. Ordered recommended choices.Truffle pineapple bun. It was delicious.Egg yolk french toast. It was good, egg was like lava oozed out. It was too much egg for me, next time will try different filling.Chicken rice. This is HK style chicken rice. Best part was the silky chicken. So soft and moist.Rice needed more ginger taste, chili not spicy, soup should be clear.

Great food experience. The HK milk tea comes in the classic mug and the dishes remind me of the HK experience. Reminder that they close at 7p. Make sure you arrive early to get in line before they close!

First time here.Food was really good, slightly dry rice but everything else was very tasty.Our sever Ben was amazing & very friendly.Only thing I didn’t like was some of the staff were just standing next to your table watching until you were done trying to get you to hurry up, obviously because they are busy but wasn’t a pleasant feeling.

Our first time at Cafe De Hong Kong and boy was it phenomenal! Everything was simply devine! We arrived on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm and there was a 15 mins wait time for the 4 of us. No biggie. We were busy admiring the fun old school decorations on the wall. 15 mins flew by.We wanted to try the afternoon tea time special and every single thing was sooooo yummy! We ordered the fish ball with octopus, salted egg french toast, street Churn Fun (rice roll) and bolo Bao with butter (sweet pineapple bun stuffed with butter) and we ate everything. Luckily it was only afternoon snack since we just finished lunch but it really hit the spot.The ladies that served us was so friendly and nice. We spoke Cantonese so we chatted about some Hong Kong news and they asked us if we were from the States. Felt like home coming into this delicious restaurant. A true 5 stars for everything from food, service and ambiance! We will be back next year!

A HK style cafe that is INSANELY BUSY with long line ups and beware, they give away your table if you're not there to claim your seat within 5-10min. There is always a line but after eating there, I can see why. The food is quick and incredibly delicious and flavourful. I would have given this place a 5 star restaurant except their standard egg sandwich was average. Their fried chicken avocado pineapple bun however, was AMAZING. The chicken is perfectly fried, juicy and crispy. The fresh lettuce, tomato, avocado and sauces on it balance everything perfectly. It is a challenge getting all that in 1 bite so I had to deconstruct the sandwich. The Hainese chicken is also the best I've ever had and you'll see dozens of these plates coming out of the kitchen. A unique twist on the egg sandwich is the truffle foie gras egg pineapple bun which is sweet, savoury and just overall great umami. The milk tea is also rich, creamy and full-bodied. It's worth the wait.

There is a long wait so I highly recommend joining the wait list on the Yelp app before heading out. I joined the line and got my table 1.5 hrs later.The service and food are both really good. I can see why they are known for the Hainan chicken. I also really like their French toast with peanut butter. It bought back fond memories of Hong Kong. The restaurant is also very clean.One thing I was worried about before going was communication. My Cantonese is pretty bad so sometimes I feel uncomfortable going to places that are primarily Cantonese speaking but the server kept questions simple so I could response in short Cantonese phrases. When I didn’t know how to respond in Cantonese, I could say the response in English no problem. The server also asked helpful questions before fully taking my order. I appreciated this because it was my first time trying the place.Overall, I would come back again especially when I am craving food Hong Kong food.

Service was surprisingly friend and very efficient - makes sense given the longer wait times. Food was delicious - we ordered the satay beef noodles and hainanese chicken. Will be coming back to try the pork chop rice!

I went to this place for lunch with my family yesterday, It's a small hk style fast food restaurant but there were many people waiting in line. Everything i ordered came quickly with a nice service. well~all the foods in my photos tasted good! It would be great if the BBQ pork were tenderer, fat and lean meat together.
