Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful clean space. Coffee is always good here too. I'd have to say it's the best spot in Nanaimo, for either a cup of coffee or for a bag of their own beans. Definitely check it out if you have the opportunity.Side note: if ever in doubt of a local spot being closed, give them a call/connect with them before heading out. That's what I do.

I had the pleasure to visit this coffee / Espresso bar today based on a recommendation of a friend, and I’m happy I did! The service was great, the staff were funny and friendly, location was clean and the hand crafted drink was perfect.The only issue I have is with the cup sizes, their large is the equivalent of a medium or small depending on who you compare them with.That said, I won’t fault the staff or the quality of the drink for that.If you love coffee and a great experience, drop by this locally owned coffee / espresso bar.

Great coffee with excellent and polite staff. Hudson was very kind and even remembered our order. There was a blonde haired woman that was very kind as well. Sorry we didn't ask her name!I ordered a breve latte with heavy cream instead of half and half. It was delicious! It's a great option for keto dieters.We visited this location twice and both times we received excellent service. The bakery items are made in house and the cookies are particularly good. Try to ask when they make them to get it fresh!

I have been going to Regard Coffee Roaster since they opened. This is the best coffee in town. Anyone who says otherwise has not had Regard or does not appreciate good coffee, as snobbish as that sounds it is true. The nicest people work here too. I remember when the owner used to work the cashier years ago on their Bowen location and we would have great conversations, he was truly a coffee aficionado. Worth every penny for this liquid ambrosia.When you get a chance taste their collaboration beer with White Sails Brewery: Regardian Coffee Ale. When I walk into a liquor store and they happen to be selling it, there are no longer any other options.

My husband and I’s favourite coffee place in nanaimo! Amazing coffee, the staff are SO nice, they always remember my order and they pull perfect espresso every time. 10/10 recommend!! Best coffee shop we’ve tried, and always enjoy our visits!

I think this is my favourite coffee shop in Nanaimo.Firstly, the products. While Regard has a great variety of beans, I never found myself blindsided by extremes on either ends, whether highly acidic and bright or chokingly dark and smoky. But that's not to say they are one-note; there is a wonderful variety of flavours and textures when drinking their coffee that makes you want to try a few blends. And by managing to keep to a middle spectrum but still offering a wide range of tastes, the coffees benefit by being crowd-pleasers across the board. I'd recommend trying a few pour-overs to see what interests you, I'm guaranteed at least a couple will tickle your fancy.And secondly, the staff working out off the cafe are all fantastic. They are people passionate about their products, and this passion really comes through in their service. Ask them about one of their blends, and they'll happily give you a Cole's Notes of what all the blend can offer. The great energy by the Regard staff has built up a loyal following of customers, myself included, so I'd recommend coming early or later in the day to avoid the heavy lines. However, in my opinion, the hum of the cafe is part of the charm.Whether you're a fanatical worshipper at the shrine of coffee or a burgeoning follower, I'm positive Regard will have something to entice you to join their flock.

Finally made it to the new north end Metral Drive location of Regard. I absolutely love the simple layout and elegant European inspired wood seating and counters built for the cafe. The coffee is roasted themselves and served with a high degree of knowledge and attention to detail to good coffee. All of this is accomplished while still being a relaxing inviting atmosphere.
