I travel western Canada quite a bit for work and as a result, find myself eating on the road a lot. This place may look unassuming but the food I've tried is great. Try the Shanghai noodles with a mix of chicken and pork, you won't regret it. Service could be a wee bit faster but the young man that served us was polite and thorough. If you need to stop in McBride for a bite, consider stopping here.

$3.00 for a can of pop is ridiculous!! Should be told up front. Paying that much for something barely worth half that is a joke.Meal was excellent, hot for the whole time I ate it.

This is a hard restaurant to rate on a star system. If you are a local, 4 stars easy. If you are coming from a big town and expecting something in the line of a regionally specific Chinese restaurant? 1 star.The cook here is cooking the kind of food that the regulars expect, I would guess. If you grew up in a small town in BC or Alberta before 1980, you can already taste every menu item. If you expect that, you will be satisfied. For everyone else, it's a roadside diner. Don't complain.I'd love to see some dishes on the menu that are prepared for a different audience, though. Better ingredients, more prep work, challenging flavours...something to draw people down the road for.

After a very long and sketchy drive with 2 kids under 5, we ended up in McBride for the night. The only place to eat was Kilin and it was amazing. Some of the best Chinese food we've ever had and the service was impeccable. Definitely worth a stop again. Thank you.

I was just driving through and I was a bit skeptical at first, but after looking at the reviews, gave it a try. The food was good and quick, portion size was good, and beer was cold.
