What a great bike club!

This club runs the RLCT which is without a doubt not only one of the longest running but also best run mass participation cycling events anywhere - something any Ontario cyclist really should do at least once. Their RLCT is worth five stars for sure. The club itself however has things for racing and for non-sportif touring but is very sportif-riding unfriendly offering little to nothing for the sportif rider, their organized weekend rides offer nothing for the faster sportif rider and actively discourage (and in fact document for rider leaders to discourage) spirited riding. As a sportif oriented rider I would give the club zero stars. On balance, for the service they provide to the community in organizing RLCT and the weekly time trial series, they merit three stars. Sportif riders are better off with Bike and Beer, Cyclelogik A ride, joining one of the handful of local race clubs that are open to riders who are serious riders but do not race, etc.

Well run club with a broad range of touring and racing activities. The Rideau Lakes Cycle tour is the Ottawa cycling event of the summer. Great website too

Fancy boutique

Too bad, I don't bike anymore. There is no one to fix my bike and make it safety ready, for the road. I suggest a bike workshop open near by.
