North Shore Retreat Accomodations

We spent an evening at the North Shore Retreat with my daughter and her husband. We had wonderful accommodations. Lovely little apartment. Very modern, clean and up to date apartment.Our host was wonderful to talk with as well.Highly recommend staying at the North Shore Retreat.

Awesome views/location and great hospitality.We spend the night stargazing at some of the nicest stars we've seen and the next morning at the beach.We only wish we would have stayed longer and look forward to staying again in the future.

We enjoyed our five day stay very much. Immaculate rooms, decorated with lovely local art, with a beautiful view of the ocean. We relaxed on the balcony, watched the waves and enjoyed the sunrise while we sipped our coffee. We were very happy with the country setting, close to nature. Our hosts were warm and charming and made our stay so pleasant and memorable. Christian and Regina were full of suggestions for places to visit and were sincere in their wish that we enjoy ourselves. We felt we were leaving good friends behind when we had to go. Thank you again for making our 40th anniversary so special.We would definitely book again.

Wonderful overnight at this comfortable home. Beautiful views, great company and lots of positive vibrations. Our stay was too brief. If we are ever up this way again, we will stay again. Thanks Christian for Off-The-Grid

My friend and I spent the night at this beautiful little oasis! Very homey and comfortable. We caught the sunrise in the morning and are still in awe :) I cannot wait to stop here again next time we are visiting!

The location and its rooms were depicted quite differently. We didn't get what we paid for when we reserved the room. The images do not really represent what you will receive, despite how they make it appear. We mistakenly believed we were receiving a little apartment with just one room, a bathroom, and a kitchen, but there was actually just one small room, a shared bathroom, and a kitchen. It's a disaster to have three families or couples sharing three different rooms on the same floor. This is primarily for young couples and does not meet Canadian standards. The location is cramped and costly. The food they mentioned on their website wasn't provided such as eggs, milk, jam, etc.Currently, the kitchen and one bathroom are being used by three families.However, the second floor should only be available for rent to one family or one group of persons. We travelled to the Atlantic coast of Canada, and all of our accommodations—aside from this one—were quite good. We are quite dissatisfied with this particular place. The pillows were worn-out and outdated. Photographs of the beach were misleading. It's really slippery and not very safe for swimming, so you better have insurance in case you break your neck.Never again would I come to this location. Massive disappointment.

We stayed here during our trip to Nova Scotia and this was one of our favourite stays. Would have liked to stay here for an extra day but unfortunately our other hotel was not cancellable. Beautiful views and a secluded private location. Clean location and furnishings were modern.

A lovely home and garden to enjoy the sea air and stars. Casual, clean, quiet, and pretty. A spacious and memorable off-the-grid experience. Seals swimming in the morning sun on the ocean!

The best place to take some time off and relax.. Christian is such a welcoming host and it was a great learning about life off the grid". The private beach is the icing on the cake."

We stayed at the Nortshore retreat 4 nights and we loved the place! We loved the proximity with nature and the private beach where we can see seals. It’s so relaxing to sit on the deck with the view on the ocean. The hosts are lovely. The place is very clean and the decoration is cute. We felt like home!
