Skip's Tirecraft Walkerton

We were on a road trip and far from home when we noticed a problem with our brakes. Skip's was the only garage that was willing to help us on a Saturday. Derek went above and beyond the call of duty to get parts that were in another city so that he could get us back on our trip as soon as possible. He even gave us some pointers on how we could ensure not to repeat. IMPECCABLE service, professional and a job well done. Every city should have a Skip's and every garage should have a Derek. Need I say more?

We brought my boyfriends truck in to take a look at the alignment. When we brought it in, we first requested that someone look at it before doing work as we didn't want to spend a lot of money. We were given a quote of $800. Okay fine. We go pick up the truck and given a $1300 invoice!! The mechanic had also change the ball joints that apparently needed to be done. We just had the truck safetied a month ago so hard to believe. We requested the part be in the truck qhen we picked it up so we can look at it. Yeah one of the ball joints needed replacing bit the other one was absolutely fine. We even came back to speak with them and the mechanic that worked on our truck and even he couldn't even say there was something wrong with it. Couldnt show us any pull in the part and hung his head in shame that he replaced it. We agreed to pay for the part but wanted reimbursement for the labour. Derek, the manager or owner couldn't even apologize for for this screw up and refused to at least reimburse us the $300 labour. We will never be bringing any vehicles back to this scam of a shop.

Sorry for the delay in my review, I should have done this sooner, but here we are. I purchased new tires from Skip's. I took my prestine factory rims/wheels off my car into them to have new tires installed. I definitely have to say great customer service, sales, and price. BUT, I am very disappointed with the damage to my factory rims, which most likely cost at least over $1500 each to replace. I assumed at the time that it was normal to tire installation until I was repeatedly told by other tire installers that that is not the case and that wheels/rims should not be damaged during tire replacement. Then I as well realized from my many years of past experience as a customer elsewhere that I have never had any of my other wheels/rims damaged like this in the past during tire replacement. It appears that Skip's possible solution for this would be to ensure that all tire replacement staff/employees are completely fully trained and apply their training knowledge/experience to their workmanship one every set of tires. This would ensure all rims/wheels are returned to their customer as they were delivered. I have two new sets of tires to purchase/install and prefer to keep my money local and want to return to Skip's, but this is very discouraging and will definitely think twice when replacing tires on my new 3+ thousand dollar wheels/rims on my new vehicle.

Do not recommend, changed parts without asking, told me ball joints were junk when actually nothing wrong but changed parts anyway, over charging, 600$ for two 179$ parts and racking up a 1400 dollar bill then won’t let vehicle leave without paying….. do yourself a favour go elsewhere

Always helpful...Derek and Tanya are honest helpful...reasonably priced....Always there when you need them. My transmission just blew and they made sure I had a car..while mine was in shop...totally above and beyond the call of duty..Thanks 4 everything. Fantastic customer service...

We moved our auto repair needs to Skip's this year, and are very impressed! From the car not starting on a winter morning, to the power windows failing, to loss of tire pressure and a loud exhaust... Skip's service has been timely, considerate, and professional at each visit. We drive a decade-old Toyota, and it's starting to show its age... but we love our car and want to keep enjoying it for as long as we can! That's why we're especially grateful at how affordable Skip's has been; they took the time and effort to find used parts or repair and clean the originals, communicating with us along the way so we could make the best choice for us. Thank you!

Great customer service. They stayed late to meet my deadline, and found more issues with my car that could have been bad down the line.To ensure honesty, they showed me the failed parts and educated me on why they needed to be changed asap.Can't recommend this place enough.

was told over the phone could fix all tire issues got to shop technician said nope walked away. drove 1 hour to get it fixed. unimpressed

Very impressed. First off friendly. I drive an EV, ordered rims and snows. Perfectly balanced and put my summer tires neatly in back of car. Highly recommend.

Always get great care for my car. The staff and extremely friendly and take the time to break down and explain what is going on with your vehicle. Would recommend to anyone for an oil change or a major service
