I had the most terrible experience ever. (People know me I often give good feedback.) The first appointment was at 1:30 but the residence doc didn't see me until 2:40, and Dr. Kelly Apostle dropped by for 3 mins. And then I had to ask for an ultrasound, which they were not willing too. A few weeks later, ultrasound was done (I had to call an ultrasound office to make my own appointment). The technician said Dr. Apostle's office will call me. I waited and my paint got worse for two weeks straight and then I called. Finally, an appointment made but two more weeks later (apparently, the office forgot to follow up on my ultrasound report!) So, in the end, I could see this sub doctor, Dr. Pelletier (as Kelly is on mat leave). My first very very terrible experience with an MD! (Needless to say, she was 20 mins late to my appointment.) All she said was that my ultrasound looks normal, just some muscle infections here and there. Then she questioned me if I am going to the Physio. (Sounds like she already assumed I did not.) I told her that I went 3 times but now stopped because it is an agreement between me and the Physio to wait for the ultrasound. Then she said at least 3 more times I must keep going ... Why did I have to exchange with her the reason I stopped, for 3 times?! The whole 5-7 minutes just gone like that. She didn't even look at my wounds nor asked me what pain I am having. I felt the whole time I was not listened to but just being judged.

Such a professional, she saw me as quickly as possible, I showed up early to my appointment to meet her and she saw me right away. To the point, clear information and instructions. My surgery was prompt and everyone there was on point. I felt quite comfortable and confident being there.Surgery over and my pinky toe is now pointing back in the right direction and I’m so grateful for the help I received. Thank you Kelly and the whole team, you have done a great service for my quality of life. <3

I noticed a couple of negative reviews about Dr. Apostle. They contradict my experience with her. Last fall I had an ankle replacement. The procedure went well, although several weeks later I developed an infection from the cast I was wearing at one of the wound sites. I was a bit slow and careless taking it seriously so finally I called the doctor. She said to see her the following morning at Royal Columbian, where she was on call. As soon as she saw the infection she had me in for surgery the next morning. My ankle is now functioning better than it has for 25 years. She has had great follow up throughout. I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Apostle is not a hand holder or joker (at least not with me). She does exude confidence with compassion. I don't write a lot of these reviews, but I thought that my experience might help future patients feel they are in capable hands.

Dr apostle put my ankle back together perfectly was back to training in no time.

Dr. Apostle reconstructed my Achilles tendon after it ruptured. She was very thorough and professional. I see that people are complaining about the wait times at the office but all the doctors at the Fraser Ortho Centre are very busy and seeing many patients in the day. The overall experience I had with Dr. Apostle were great.

What a magnificent team she leads!
