The Waterside Inn
The location close to the lake is nice but that was the only good thing. Directly in front of the hotel is a noisy and heavily frequented road which you can hear all night long. The bedroom was stuffy so it was important to open the window during the night, that was not really possible because of the road noise. The size of the room which contained a kitchen was ok but the room itself was old and the kitchen poorly equipped (there was not even a pot or a pan to cook). From the balcony we had a nice view but there was not even a chair to sit and enjoy the view. You can say that the entire hotel has a strong need for renovation. Already when you see the outward condition of the hotel you‘ll get the impression that there should be invested a lot to get this house back in a proper condition. The restaurant is permanently closed btw.We regret the stay here and won‘t book it again.

A humble stay in Port Credit for the first time which is an awesome little local roots beach town vibe with plenty of good grub and a general great atmosphere with happy people enjoying time by the water. The hotel is a great location, right on the peer front and main round through town whilst only a five minute walk from the Go Train, slightly outdated but admittedly probably one of the newer builds around the area as it's a low fuss old school place.Staff are nice, rooms weren't particularly clean but given how close you are to the city realistically it's pretty good value for money as it is a spacious joint with a good set of amenities and a sweet view from a big balcony.

Booked this place due to the central location and lake-view. The location is nice, central and easy to get around but the building is quite old and noise from street is constant all day long. We asked for coffee several days in a row and the front desk said it’s back ordered and only decaf is available! A quick pass by the housekeeping carts and we found some...Bring your own shampoo, soap and conditioner because the stuff they have doesn’t work well (mostly water with lemon). The most annoying part was the light house in the harbour at night. Shines into the unit and we had to close the blinds and the room door and shut the window in order to sleep.Value for money is quite poor. Seems like they’re milking it while they can before they’re forced to renovate due to lack of occupancy.Won’t recommend or book again.

One bedroom suite, and we really loved having the lake side view. It was March break, and chilly enough, but I like water and I enjoyed just having out there, and a little bit of harbor view also. I could see the CN tower from the balcony too if i looked left when the sky was clear. We ordered up a tea kettle, frying pan and spatula to cook with, and later some extra towels and a blanket, they were delivered promptly with no troubles. Note that they don't have tea towels to do dishes with, we just had to use hand towels and we were fine. The pull out couch and side chairs were very comfortable to sit on and read on, which was one of our trip plans. Discovered the TV has cable channels but was not a smart tv (ie no built in Netflix etc). If we had brought HDMI cables we could have plugged the phones into it, but we stuck with the reading and we did great. Really enjoyed that little suite.

The hotel was decent but I was treated with blatant racism right from when I got there.I was on a business trip with a colleague of mine. We were both checking in at the same time and handed our credit cards at the same time. Little did I know with his it was just to have on file but mine it was too pre-charge me the incidental fee. At first I didn’t think anything of it I thought it was a pre authorization but no it was charged. When we were checking out is when I realized what was happening. In order for me to check out they had to call house keeping to go check my room to ensure there was no damages before releasing the funds on my credit card.Meanwhile my white colleague came down two minutes later and just handed in his room key. I said “oh you have to fill out a refund form and they’ll check the room to check out”. In front of me he asked them if he needed anything to check out and they said “no sir you are fine just give us. the room number and you are good to go”.I could not believe that they charged my card for my room and required it to be checked all for what I presume was because I did not have the same colour skin as my colleague.

Disappointing Experience. Everything is old and outdated. The receptionist couldn't care less. We found hair in each towel indicating poor cleanliness. The room are probably renovated in the seventy. Overall, it was a bad experience. I cannot recommend this hotel to others. I was let down because its name didn't match its location. The name suggested that the hotel was by the water, but the actual spot couldn't have been worse. Falls short of delivering reasonable value for the money spent.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending a function in your beautiful hotel and had a fantastic experience! Decor was Beautiful , Room was fantastic and spacious with a gas fireplace and a huge bathroom! Food was fantastic and the staff! oh my goodness the staff are amazing, accommodating and downright authentically friendly! felt like old friends by the end of my time there! I will be back with my family to enjoy your hotel again soon!

Dated, this is the first thing which came into my mind. The location is not bad, basically lake front and next to the marina. I decided to stay here because it is somewhat between Toronto and Guelph and I had business in both locations and it offers easy access. The hotel prices, if you want any decent space, around Toronto is outrageous even with the exchange rate plus the cost for parking. The prices at the water side inn was very reasonable, a full apartment suite was around $150 per night and parking is free. You are also just steps away from multiple dinning options (the hotel offers no dinning whatsoever, not even breakfast). The first room I stayed in, and you can tell from my pictures, was clean but very old. Part of the hotel are for extended stay guests, hence the stove top, oven, wash/drier combo unit and even a dishwasher (from the 90s or older). Part of the room was renovated, such as the TV and sofa, but mostly kept its 80s/90s charm. The balcony was poorly up kept and so are the windows and doors. The window by the kitchen was open and stayed open because the knob was broken. I called maintenance and the guy told me that the spare part was out of order, anyway he managed to close the window and that was that. Now please keep in mind that it was November in Ontario, the room was getting really cold late at night and I felt the old radiator heater in the apartment was simply non-existent. The one in the living room was barely working and so was the one in the bed room. The one in the kitchen was cold to the touch. I had to turn on and open up the oven to stay warm. So I had to change my room. It was accommodated without any issues, but the new room was not without issues. The heater was working somewhat, but the washing machine was out of order and the heater in the bed room was making this ticking noise along with the water gurgling sound every couple of minutes. So I turned the heater in the room off and left the door open. But the old refrigerator which faces the bedroom door decides to kick off every 5 mins even when the temp was set at 0. So I unplugged it. Otherwise there would be no sleeping. There was a time when I really wanted to change the hotel to something nearby but decide not to since I mitigated most of the issues. I think if you don't care much about the amenities and you come here in the summer time, the experience would've been better. But I will never stay here again during the cold months because of the above mentioned issues. It is just a hassle just to stay comfortable and rested.

Me and my family had enjoyed staying at the Waterside inn for 1 and 1/2 months in August/September we took a 2 bedroom suite and payed for a long term stay (which is of course discounted compared to short stays) while we transitioned to renting a more long term condo elsewhere. The view is unmatched and the unit was sparkling clean and air conditioned. It had blazing fast internet service, all appliances were fully functional and brand new (apart from the dishwasher which was missing the upper spray arm and was not cleaning properly, I would remove 1/2 a star for this) housekeeping was provided once a week. Garbage disposal daily. We felt at ease throughout our stay. We enjoyed the lake and the surrounding parks. The area is safe although a bit rowdy at weekends but I’ll take that over boredom any day. The business center is a little slow but I printed many documents at the lobby by emailing them to the front desk. I haven’t tried the restaurant at the lobby due to our strict dietary preferences but I heard it’s great. The staff at the front desk are wonderful and responsive to our needs, they were also courteous and polite. Of course this is not a full fledged hotel, it’s more like really nice furnished condo-like apartments with housekeeping but no around the clock room service, if you go there with this understanding you’ll be happy, otherwise go to the Hilton !In short, if prices were a little cheaper I’d live there forever! Please keep up that level and don’t increase your prices, rather try to decrease it !

Hotel is okay. Real issue is that its located right next to a bar called Shore. Incredibly loud music every night through summer that makes it impossible to relax or sleep, it literally shakes the building. DO NOT STAY HERE IN SUMMER IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP.
