Misha is phenomenal. He was early and I was running late. He waited patiently the entire time. He was honest initially in telling us that there would be no benefit to adding a deadbolt to our door for security reasons. It's a rare find to have someone so genuine and honest in doing business. I have added him to my trade/contractor list and will use again. I have used many - I will only call Misha in the future. Price is extremely fair.

I moved into a new place and wanted the lock changed and a couple of extra keys cut. I looked up a few locksmiths online and decide to give West End Lock and Key a try. The owner of the business (Misha) came over within the hour, on his way back from another job. He’s very polite and professional, worked very fast and efficient, in less than an hour I was all set.Also a big plus was the payment option, he can take credit card or debit payment on the spot.The price was very reasonable, I would definitely use his services again and I wound recommend it to anyone in need of a locksmith.

Super kind and respectable. Bedroom door stopped opening entirely and no amount of at-home remedy could get it off short of breaking the door off. I’m on a short term rental so I don’t have the tools to try forcibly extracting the handle myself. Called on the phone and got a reasonable fixed estimate with taxes & fees included — where every other shop I tried (only 2 answered) gave wavery unsure-sounding “estimates”. Showed up about 15 minutes later, and within ten minutes and trying all kinds of non-destructive entry he was able to get in by craaanking and forcing the handle off with minimal damage to the door itself (seriously just a single mark!). Ended up agreeing to pay more for the added convenience of having a new handle installed instead of buying and installing my own, but didn’t feel pressured into it at all. Overall would recommend to anyone in need!

over pricedwanted $ 100 more for a job that was 2 blks away.called another company which was an hour away in traffic and they did it for $100 less than your quote.Maybe stop being so greedy and you'll get more business and better reviews.WAY OVER PRICED

My key broke when I was trying to open the door to my place, it fell apart into two pieces with one stuck inside the lock. I called West End Lock and Key and after 20 minutes Misha came here to save me. Very professional & kind service, I live in an old building and he noticed few other problems with my door and the door frame which he fixed straightaway. Now, for the first time since I moved here, my doors close properly! I could pay using credit card and I received a receipt to my email, convenient. The rate was fair I think for a downtown and an after hours service.

Service was quick, booking was easy! I contacted them Sunday evening and they were able to book me in for Monday morning. Can’t beat the price either; I’ve dealt with a couple of locksmiths before and this has been the best experience thus far! Highly recommend.

Super convenient location near Robson & Denman, only other hardware (national chain) is way over on Davie & Thurlow. Small, local, independent, friendly shop that always has items/services I need. Last visit was to have a key cut, in & out in 5 minutes.

Misha came into our office to fix a few locks that were sticky as well as the keys were not fitting properly. He did an amazing job and was very efficient, completing the job in under 1 hour! Service was amazing, very nice guy!

5 stars! I'm not one to write many reviews but I need to share my experience. Before calling Misha, I had my building's caretaker come look at the lock to my suite and confirmed that my lock was indeed jammed. I explained to him I sprayed it with WD-40 and nothing seemed to budge. My caretaker provided me Misha's number. Misha is very professional and arrived promptly in 15-20 minutes after our phone consultation. With just a couple of turns and some more WD-40 later it worked (of course). I felt so silly because i thought it was a much bigger issue. I offered to pay because I felt bad about him coming all the way out here and I mean he runs a business at the end of the day. However, Misha did not charge me. This is one business owner I can stand by. I highly, HIGHLY recommend him. Responsible, accountable and honest. If you're looking for a locksmith, look no further!

Misha is the man! I had him scheduled to show up at a set time... and he was there 15 minutes early like any great professional. Easy payment and quick service without disruption to our bartending classes!
