Great stay! Had a very good visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Washrooms were clean and the showers were hot. Food was above average and the portions were large. Great meals for a fishing lodge. The fishing was excellent and the guides were truly helpful. Every staff member was truly happy and very helpful. I will be back as soon as I can. Thanks

I don’t know where to start. So will start with the lodge.-The lodge extremely clean, the bathrooms bedrooms and common areas where immaculate. You could eat off the floors at this place. I stayed in two bed room. The bed was comfortable the pillows where awesome the rooms accommodated two people perfectly.-the food. I have stayed in a lot of lodges and camps well over 100. but the food here was by far the best food I have ever had. There was always lots for seconds or even thirds. The food was tasty and you can tell the cook took a lot of pride in his meals because there was no detail that was over looked 10/10 for food- the guides where awesome! Super friendly professional and knowledgeable. They taught me a lot about the area, history and culture on Nootka island-the lodge staff where awesome, so polite professional and helpful.- the fishing was awesome my group went up at the slowest time of the year for salmon but all of us left with lots of awesome fishI 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a breathtaking fishing adventure!

This place is incredible. I have been twice and both times I had an amazing experience. First time I had Matt as a guide and second time I had Shane. Both are very nice and friendly people and they are great at catching fish. Shane is also hilarious so that's always a bonus. Good job guys!

Awesome halibut and red spring fishing, some nice ling and rock fish also.Staff and guides were awesome and meals were exceptional with a fresh salmon prepared every night in different sauces, loved the fact that when weather was rough we could slip inside the many surrounding islands and still catch salmon. I love the fact that its a family run operation and Tim the owner welcomed us as soon as we arrived. My guide Matt was exceptional in navigating the boat and ensuring all bites were brought in the boat, the packaging of the fish was fabulous and the filleting jobs were excellent. My overall rating 5 stars cant wait to get back out there.Tight lines all

I have been on fishing charters nine times, with four different outfits. This one would have to be classified at the bottom. The Staff is great. Accommodations are good except for the washroom facility. There is no hot water for a shower or shave. There is enough hot water for maybe two people. The boat assigned to us was the smallest one in the fleet. Maybe that was because we utilized a special rate through Groupon. This of course prevented going offshore far enough for Halibut. The guide I am sure is good as he has been on staff for 15 years. The first day (3 1/2 hrs) of fishing was 0 fish. A spoon was used and not changed out for the full 3 1/2 hrs. Comparing to other guides I have fished with, this one did not check or change the bait often enough. I am sure we got to the lodge during a slow down in fishing. The fishing trip was on Aug 15 to 17. We did schedule it for an earlier available date but was advised a week after booking that the preferred date was no longer available. Again, probably because of the Groupon booking. The trip to the lodge was also a problem. Nootka air experienced a problem with one of their planes and thus the majority of the guests were transported by water Taxi, for the same rate as by Air. Again, the selection of guests to go by the only other plane was probably determined by previous bookings.

Just back from Nootka Island Lodge. We were there for two nights and had a great time. We fished the evening after we arrived, all the next day and the morning of the day we left. The food was good and plentiful. Our guide Bill was great. Between the two of us we caught 4 Chinook and a Coho. The rooms were fine with a shared washroom. Its a fishing lodge not the Sheraton but it is clean and well run.

Had an amazing fishing adventure at Nootka. Right from our arrival, the service was top-notch, food was great and plenty, and fishing was a lot of fun.The lodge is simple but has all amenities, staff are friendly and cater to all your needs. The rooms were a bit small, but expected, and were really clean. The internet is a bit shotty and needs upgrading. The guides were great. We had Cody and Steve. Both were great. If you have a chance, get a session in with Steve, he has great stories about fishing and the area.Fishing was good, went at the end of Ju e. We caught salmon and reached our limits.Fish was packaged nicely in vac packs and placed in an insulated box. Fish got home perfectly.Highly recommend, purchased this adventure through Travelzoo and an unreal price.
