Little Oaks Academy

My daughter is almost 4 and we learned from a Speech Language Pathologist that she needed more than her daycare was providing, especially to start school in Sept. We were put onto wait lists for local preschools but heard about Little Oaks from a friend. I reached out to Tracy and she was a dream to start working with. Very knowledgeable and full of positive energy, and when we did the tour she had immediate rapport with my daughter. As we believe she's on the ASD spectrum, this is not an easy thing. She has a great way with kids (and nervous adults) :)When my girl met her co-instructors Marina and Tash she was also so comfortable. Every time she sees Miss Marina she literally runs into her arms. Me heart has been so comforted by the caring team and the flow of information. We work toward goals together at home and school. They're very attentive and have been helping us with potty training as well, which shows their level of caring for each child.Today, only 1 month later, my girl is more verbal and interacts more with other kids (we had her first successful playdate last weekend). She has higher grasp of her motor skills and more spontaneous expression of her thoughts. She is flourishing and I'm so thankful with how patient, caring and encouraging the whole team has been.I hope this review helps another parent decide to bring their child, and I'm happy to provide a reference through the school.

I had some anxiety about sending my daughter to school for the first time. Due to the pandemic, she'd never had much outside socialization, nor played with many other children. After meeting with Tracy, she inspired us with so much confidence in her vision and school. I knew that she was someone whom I could trust with my child. Since January my daughter has been thriving; she's found a place where she can be her quirky self-- she gets muddy and messy (as kids are meant to do), has a number of close friends, and teachers who cherish her. Little Oaks is a community, which we are thrilled to be a part of ❤️

My kids love little oaks and Tracy! They are so loved, seen and heard! Truly a magical place where all kids are included and cherished.

I cannot praise Tracy & Marina at Little Oaks Academy enough for everything they have done so far, to create this beautiful, loving space for children. We kept our daughter home to homeschool her for the first two years of her education. My husband and I didn't agree with the public school system, and felt it would be better if we put her education in our own hands. During this time, we searched for a pod that would align with our values, so that our daughter could still have that school experience, with friends, and a more structured system. It took us two years to find Little Oaks...and from the moment we spoke with Tracy, we knew this was the place where we wanted our daughter to go. Our daughter absolutely loves it here, and comes home so happy, full of stories each day. We are soooo incredibly thankful for all of the love they pour into this new space. I thank God for Little Oaks Academy and their gospel-centered approach to engaging the children. Our family had been looking for a way to be a part of a community, that would help us to continue pointing the children to Jesus.Our primary focus is to use the gospel to build character in our children, knowing that this would enhance their relational skills and generate a heathy interest in the academics. I'm grateful that Tracy and Marina understand how important this is and they have both been a great support system for our family.The children are in a safe educational environment, they are prayed for, loved and nurtured. They are always excited to return, ready for the next set of adventures with the Little Oaks village:)Tracy and Marina are a blessing and make such a great team! We enrolled our daughter in Little Oaks this January. She looks forward to school every day and at pickup she begs for more time. She is enjoying herself immensely; learning, having so much fun and making friends.I have seen that the teachers are patient and nurturing. They treat the children with respect and help them to respect one another. They encourage the children to be their best selves, to be kind, to follow their own interests.We love that they spend hours a day outside, in the fresh air and sunshine, even in the freezing cold. The children are active, engaged, and full of energy. They are fostering a love for nature and the outdoors. They do things like nature walks and outdoor crafts and even built an igloo! They also have lots of time for free play.Little Oaks Academy is everything that school should be and everything that we had hoped for!
