Working alongside Eddy as a club coach for Sheridan HMC Toastmasters was such a privilege. I could tell from the get go that Eddy had a lot of experience with coaching and knew the ins and outs of effective coaching strategies to help make the club achieve success. From what I have learnt working alongside Eddy is that he is extremely passionate about coaching, is self aware to know when something is working and when something is not, and is extremely disciplined and does not falter in his message and approach. These are traits that I feel are necessary to make someone an effective coach. I have learnt a great deal from Eddy on what it takes for myself to become a more effective coach and leader. Eddy is a leader and a mentor. Eddy worked with me as a club coach at Sheridan HMC Toastmasters. Before Eddy joined, the club was on a rough path and near closing. Eddy worked with the club diligently and always kept contact. Eddy improved our membership rate by 300%!Eddy does not take shortcuts and Eddy always held me accountable. When I need advice that is not sugarcoated, I can count on Eddy. When I wanted to apply to be a valedictorian for my bachelor's program, I went Eddy for advice and he gave me the confidence to apply and I was selected as the valedictorian! Something I never thought or believed was possible.Words can not truly describe the impact Eddy has had on my life and other members of Sheridan HMC Toastmasters. Eddy is a true professional.
