Bakery Gateau

We did our grocery shopping at Galleria Supermarket, mainly for the Korean glass noodles and rice cake. Bakery Gateau is located inside the supermarket. So I bought their famous Sweet Potato Cake (6' for $27). Price is on the expensive side. But the cake is ok. Not bad, but I won't pay the high price for that cake again.

I decided not to go back for any bakery anymore, this is my last cake from here. I’m pretty sure the quality went down a lot recent 2 years, the price is higher but reasonable. I loved the cakes for many years probably 8 or 9. The fresh cream cake was made with high quality real cream with great taste fluffy cake. But now the cream is not real cream, or at least not even 50% real. From the taste could tell it contains a lot of sweeter, not all sugar. After I felt the quality changed, I asked the bakery if anything changed and they said no. I thought probably it’s my illusion, and gave several chances to try again. And now I give up, it’s not the same cake anymore. $42 is ok for a 7 inch cake, and I would pay $50 for the cake 5 years ago. Hope they will bring back the same quality, it was my favourite. So sad to say bye.

The bun was wrongly labeled. It was a soboro bun which contains peanuts, but the ingredients said it has matcha cream, no peanuts. I checked the website and realized there was a mix up. Not sure how the labels got switched like that but my daughter started feeling itchy in her throat. The white sliced bread was fine. I won't dare buy anything from this place again. You can seriously harm someone like that. My first time buying and my last.

This bakery is amazing, you guys have to check it out. Since I have tried their cake, I’m in love with it. #cakelovernow it’s not just the taste and the texture of it but the presentation is so cute and amazing. They have multiple locations. I bet, if you taste it once you’ll surly go buy it again.

The strawberry roll cake is one of my fave roll cakes ever. My family used to get them a lot many years ago, but after they raised the price we stopped purchasing. However, I decided to get it yesterday since I was in the area and wanted cake. It was just as good as I remembered, with real strawberries inside, and service was also great too

Delicious cake. I buy my milk bread, breakfast buns and assorted breads here! I also enjoy their roll cakes!

We ordered their signature sweet potato cake in 7” for Christmas Day. They take pre-order by phone 3 days in advance. The cream cake was very fresh and not too sweet. If you like fresh cream cake , this is a must try for you! Their cake selection comes in different sizes. The overall service was good and the price was reasonable. We look forward to try their other cakes too.

We got the Sweet Potato Cake. This Cake was a Vanilla Sponge Cake with Cream, and Sweet Potato! This cake was not only super cute, it was also very delicious, moist, airy, and light, but the Sweet Potato Cake was very faint, almost to a point where we couldn’t taste it… However, very qualitied Cake if we only consider it being a Vanilla Sponge Cake!

I was looking for cake for my wife's birthday and I found this place. I have seen the photos of teddy cake and immediately went there to buy it. It's in a grocery store. I really didn't know what's the flavour of the cake and how they made it.I bought it and went home. Next day I opened it and i noticed it is very fluffy. I just touched it and pushed little bit because it's fluffy. I was eager to taste it. After my wife cut the cake I immediately tasted a slice and it's really great. I could feel it's so soft and mouth watering taste. My wife and friends also loved this cake. Later we got to know that it's made from sweet potato. But it's really great. Not so much sweet but tastes perfect sweetness.Note: Since we don't have any allergies I didn't ask any description about the cake(How they made it and what are the ingredients) But If you have any please check with the bakers before buying
