Orillia Opera House
This is a nice small venue that has good atmosphere and nice helpful workers.My only issue with this place is the sound needs to be upgraded. I've been to many performances here and if your sitting in the front it's fine but the middle to the back your going to probably miss parts.The last performance I saw which was Matilda we were sitting in the middle and I missed a few things because I couldn't hear and my whole row said afterwards there were parts they couldn't hear.There are some performers that have very projecting voices , but some that don't and that's why they need some type of mic or sound that can be heard all around so no matter where your sitting you can hear perfectly.

Well organized event, very nice staff, very pleasant licensed lounge area for breaks and you can take a beverage from there into the theatre! Historic and also looks well maintained. A special location.

I came here for the Banff film festival, It was a great venue. The staff was very courteous and understanding trying to fit in everyone. As far as intermission there is definitely not enough time to access the bathroom so go before. The bar prices are very reasonable too .

Excellent Ian Thomas concert. Lovely location. Only downside is the seating. Since this is a 'vintage' venue, the seats are a tad small and uncomfortable. Great acoustics.

The Orillia Opera House has ambiance. I saw Blithe Spirit there recently and thoroughly enjoyed the setting as well as the play. There is close parking, including disabled parking.

Great acoustics in this beautiful old building. Fantastic organized volunteers for both evenings I attended. I will definitely go again.

This was my first time going here. Love the old architecture and details on the interior and exterior of the building. Looks like it is in need of some interior care. The layout was great. You had great visual from everywhere. Front seats on the balcony don't offer much leg room, so if you're a taller person, I would suggest picking alternative seats. There are a lot of stairs, so if that might be an issue for you, stay on the main floor. The sound was good. With this theater being on the smaller scale, you could easily hear everything. This location is wheelchair accessible with ramps entering the building and inside has an elevator. Overall, the building was clean, and the bathrooms were clean. Bar was reasonably priced with a small selection of alcohol.

Saw The Rocky Horror Show. It was very entertaining. What a different and great night out! Venue was good, the cast was phenomenal, and the audience participation was purdy neat! Show was not for children, so we couldn't being our daughter, but brought her stuffy.I was very impressed with the show. Good job everyone involved!

A landmark of the city of Orillia. The Opera House is over 120 years old. I got a chance to tour the back stage , a great experience. I hope I can enjoy a performance here in this full of history Opera House in the future. Will come back to visit her again.

Came to see Brass Transit. They were spectacular. They really performed the Chicago music brilliantly. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
