VIA RAIL STATION

Really helpful and courteous staff. I had to get my ticket updated and they were happy to support my request.

Even with the uncertainty of strike looming, the staff at the station were helpful and empathetic. My nephew and I arrived late causing us to miss our connection but they put us on the next train to Toronto and bought us lunch. After experiencing a number of issues with air travel and no attempt on Air Canada's side to even provide basic customer service, the customer care and assistance given by VIA Rails staff were a very welcome change.Give your employees what they're asking for! They more than earn it.

Big open space with huge TV with all stations well numbered. Easy to navigate.Guards checking tickets and vaccines spoke English and French.You can buy tickets here and store baggage. Lots of food options but didn't find good coffee.

20 mins late for one way and 90 minutes late on the way back. That was my experience of yesterday trip between Montreal and Ottawa.They also need to have at least tap water on their menu.

I've used trains in other countries, but this is my first time traveling VIA rail, so I was pretty excited. Well, I'm not impressed.The train left Montréal 10 minutes late, and it needed to backup(!) out of the station and get turned around to head to Ottawa.Twice, we had to stop on a siding to let a train go by. In the end, we were 30 minutes late getting to Ottawa.Train back to Montreal: They canceled everyone's reserved seats, apparently because they were trying out their new train, and it was a free-for-all to get a seat. We left 30 minutes late and, again, needed to pull onto a siding and wait 15 minutes for another train to pass. We eventually arrived in Montréal 1:10 Late.This is the only rail route between Canada's biggest cities and should (and perhaps does) represent the best service VIA can provide. Waiting for trains to pass must be a predictable event, so at least factor them to the schedule. Or perhaps they should double track like all other commuter lines.Overall, I was very disappointed that this is the best Canada can do. By world standards, it is a joke.

Excellent service, we were getting off the train , needed to go outside, no elevator available, my friend and I walk with a cane, the staff handled our suitcases for us, pleasantly and willing to help. Thanks

Trains are always late. A 2 hour trip from Ottawa to Montréal took four hours. The speed of the train decreased for no specific reason and no one on board knew why.Train 38&28 Monday may15th 2023.

Soo welcoming. Feels like the airport. Love the new fleet
