Very comfortable and spacious accommodations. Kitchen was kitted out with the bare necessities. Beds are comfortable and I really really recommend you rent a unit with AC. Very clean and pleasant with more than ample parking. Expensive but you do get value.

Chalets Parlee Beach
We used to love this location until the new owners took over. We stayed here 4 years ago with our entire families for a wedding, and it was amazing. The owners were friendly and accommodating, they allowed two dogs in the pet friendly chalet, and they were very easy to work with. I’m giving two stars because this location is beautiful- but the new owners ruin it with poor customer service. The new owners have terrible customer service and we will not be staying there. I called about booking a pet friendly chalet for 3 nights. This would have cost over $800, which is very expensive for three nights in this area. I was fine with the price, but instead of allowing a deposit like last time and paying the remaining amount upon check in, they required the full $840 over the phone. That was also fine, although annoying.I asked about bringing two dogs- a small beagle, and a border collie. Last time we stayed, there was no issue with two dogs in the pet friendly chalet. The woman on the phone was very difficult to speak with. She first said no, then asked if I wanted to check with Airbnbs in the area and call back. I asked if there was anything they could do for us, as we had such a great experience staying here before. She told me she may have a solution, and that there may be “another option” for us. She asked if the dogs were well behaved and if I would allow them on the furniture. I said they would not be on the furniture, and they are crate trained and would be in their crates whenever we run to the store, or aren’t there. She said she was sure she had an option, and that she would check and call me right back. I never received a callback. The next day, I called and asked why they never called me back. The woman on the phone pretended not to remember me (I know it was her, she had the exact same voice as the person I spoke with the day before). I reminded her about our conversation, and she just said “no pets allowed under any circumstances”. I told her that someone was going to check on another option for me (I assumed maybe one of their chalets that had not been renovated yet or something), and she suddenly remembered me from the day before, and just said “no pets allowed”. I asked why she told me she was going to check on something for me, and she laughed it off and said there were no options for us.Considering this place charges $840 for 3 nights, I would hope they would be much more accommodating. Also, they have absolutely no active social media presence or current website (I get a suspicious website error when trying to access their site), so they were very difficult to find accurate information on. The old owners were SO much better, which is upsetting because this is such a beautiful location. If they would have just been kind and didn’t pretend to “look for another option” for me, I would have been disappointed but understood. I ended up finding an Airbnb in the area that is bigger, and less than half the price for the same three nights, and they allow dogs.

During the stay there were great opportunity for explosive critisism on my behalf although the staff smelt of hardwood flowers on the porch of life
