Camp Tamarack

I can not express how lucky I am to have my family as a part of Camp Tamarack. My son has felt safe, cared for and had a great time there. As a parent, I am thrilled with the communication, the care and the thoughtfulness that comes from the owners, the leadership and the whole team. My son enjoys all of the activities and the general vibe at the camp. What sets them apart is the attention to detail and the genuine care. They are flexible and reasonable and work hard to accommodate and make everyone comfortable.

This place is a nightmare. It is run by the most dishonest people in toronto, who only want to make money. I wouldn’t trust your kids with them for a second. They owned Zodiac camp, cancelled it last summer as a result of the pandemic and promised to repay everyone their money. They lied and declared bankruptcy; while holding on to everyone’s money. So disappointing to the toronto community, it will never be forgotten. Choose a better camp!

Hundreds of families have now been stolen from and lied to by you. We are a community that could have come together to help you, had you just been truthful. We work so hard as parents teaching our children the value of honesty and integrity. Then the very people who we entrust with our children end up being the most unethical of all. I could never, in good conscience, send my children to your camp ever again. Even with its shiny new kitchen floor. Hope it was worth it.

Beautiful place. BUT, if you go there, and have food allergies, bring your own food!!! They will tell you they can provide GF food, but they do not understand what cross contamination is or how celiac works. They kept putting GF salads next to macaroni salad or couscous in a buffet. They refused to put the foods with gluten at the end, as was promised when we arrived. People could use the macaroni spoon or couscous to take a GF free food and then put the spoon back in its appropriate place. Instead of laying it out more safely, their solution was to tell us to either skip or leave halfway from 2 out of 5 activities to be there ahead of any other campers. They were not open to being educated on this easy and common practice. And one person did go earlier but they let another camp with kids eat early if they showed up. So instead of 15 minutes early, she began going 30 minutes early. Some of us felt sick part of the week, which wasn't necessary. Otherwise, the food tasted great, and it's a great place for families.

BEST GRADE 9 TRIP EVER!!!!!! Made so many memories at this place... I wanna go back so bad. To any school that is looking to come here; why wait? I don't think there's any better place to host a school overnight trip.

Very bad camp grounds, swarmed with flies, found a worm in my food, no network service, cold rooms(no heaters), very unsanitary, cold water, never coming back.

Are you considering signing your children up to go to Camp Tamarack? Consider this first - the owners very recently shut down their Zodiac Day Camp and Zodiac Swim School without refunding any money for the cancelled programs. People asking for refunds were told they would receive them in October, but they declared insolvency instead. Where did our money go? Put down a deposit at Camp Tamarack at your own risk.

this is the worst camp for kids.they charge what the expensive camps but lack anything near them.the owner went bankrupt with zodiac ,and he lies to parents,food is terrible with inflation they are cutting back big time.Everything is done on the cheap

I help run a camp, and we've been using this campground for a really long time (probably 20+ years). Through the years we've had so many amazing times! The grounds are amazing and well kept, with a beautiful lake!

This is the best camp I've ever been too, anywhere in the world! Everyone can feel safe, joyful and included there. The different sports and activities are also amazing and I had the chance to try things I'd never done before! The staff is also the best there!
