Canaan Cake Centre

The walnut cakes were delicious! I would highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to get some bake goods. The owner is friendly too, she has a sweet aunty personally. This place is cash only though but 15 walnut cakes for $5 is definitely worth it. I will come back to get more.

“Canaan Cake Centre, on 11 Spring Garden Ave. in North York, received 10 infractions.Only one was crucial: Canaan failed to protect food from contamination or adulteration.It also had four significant violations and five minor.The significant infractions included failure to ensure equipment surfaces were clean and not maintaining records of pest control measures taken.Canaan’s five minor infractions included the food handling room not being kept free from materials and equipment not regularly used, using racks that are not of readily cleanable design, and not being maintained with the ceiling in good repair and clean floors.”

I ordered some walnut cakes to take home and managed to finish one bag in one sitting, very dangerous and delicious. The woman who took my order was very nice, would visit again.

Super delicious walnut cakes . They make walnut cakes every Tuesday and Saturday.Rice cakes are nice too.

Everyone talks about the walnut cakes here. Which are very delicious! But they only talk about those because they have never had the Korean Donuts. (Round dough circles with filling and icing around it) They only make them between 12-1pm and everyday they run out. These are what you should be going to get. They have red bean paste instead and they taste outstanding!

Really lovely snacks, especially the walnut cakes! Love seeing them made in front of you and the smell of the freshly baked stuff is amazing. Korean rice cakes, Kim bap and other goodies.Very freshly made and tasty.

Terrible service. I went to this spot and asked for red bean walnut cakes. The worker told me they’d didn’t have any. As I was exiting, I saw them near the door. I grabbed a couple and called our to the lady who ignored me. Ended up dropping the pastries and leaving the store. Terrible and rude!

I ordered three kind of rice cake for my baby’s 100 days. I highly recommend, good cake, excellent service (the owner was so nice) and good pricing too!! thank you so much!

This place is amazing.The tastes of walnut snacks are amazing, and you will get 15 for $6.Lady there is very friendly as well.I'm definitely visiting more often for my desert!
