Michael Hill Square One

Came here to get a bracelet fixed with an estimated pick up date for it to be fixed was to be 2 weeks at most. A month went by and I heard nothing so I called them and they didn’t even know why it wasn’t there. After a few days I went to pick it up and it was fine. 3 weeks later the bracelet randomly falls off my wrist one day in the same exact spot they had just fixed. And on top of that while looking at where it broke, a crystal was missing from my bracelet which wasn’t missing when I brought it to them. Whoever solders the jewelry for them did a horrible job and I would never come here again.

Bought a necklace from here online. Terrible customer service, gave us a scratched up and used necklace and when we called back they were really rude and said that they cannot place an order for a new one or anything and that we only have to come in person for them to 'review' it. Called the Erin Mills location and they were super helpful and helped us out immediately. Told us to just come and they will give us a brand new one! Gave us a discount and made us feel really welcome. GO TO ERIN MILLS

Worst quality jewelry i have ever experienced. Bought a white gold bracelet and it broke on my wrist for no reason even though I wasn't wearing it everyday or at work, I was wearing that bracelet only for special occasions. I got the warranty for it and they fixed it for me after that it broke again, they fixed and it broke again. This is the 3rd time that it brakes on my wrist for no reason and the lady who works there said all i can do is repair it. This has too be the worst quality jewelry I have ever seen I payed a lot of money for this white gold bracelet and it keeps braking again. The bracelet kept getting shorter as it was breaking i was loosing links. I guess they will just keep fixing it for me until i loose it. This is Unacceptable!

Very bad experience with them. I'm not an expert with diamonds types and they sold me a low quality diamond with a high price. once I knew that I tried to return it just after 1 day of purchasing it and they refused because they sent it to resize it. they didn't even ask if it has been resized or not. and they didn't told us at all that if they sent it to resize I will lose the right to return it. they should make their customers aware of that ! most of their rings at the shop are size 7.5, how many girl with a finger size 7.5 ? and why there is no other options ? just to limit the return option !The manager assistant wasn't helpful at all. Now my girl friend will wear a ring that she doesn't like ! Thanks Michael Hill

Shanice is lovely, some of the great customer service I have received. She was very helpful and very patient with our decision. She was a pleasure to talk with and was genuinely happy to help us. Highly recommend coming to this store and being served by Shanice.

My son went to Square one to pick up some food and went by this store. I don't know why he did that but he went in and they sold a $2K gold chain necklace to him. Of course his debit card could not pay that much and, after few declines, they put him in a two year payment plan and charged him $200 as the first payment. They didn't tell my son that the worn jewelery cannot be returned and made him wear it in the store and now say that they wouldn't accept the return just a day after. What kind of people do business like this? *Added* Call the customer service number that they provided and the recorded voice said it is closed. Customer support chat is closed as well. Are they closing the business? No support line exists.

Stood there for about 5 minutes without anyone else in the store while both male associates sat behind the counter. Eventually about 5 minutes later, one of them said “are you going to help”…. I realize I may look young and also pregnant, but that doesn’t change the fact that I was in there looking for a wedding band to match my ring that was already purchased from Michael hill and was given such POOR service. I will not be returning to this store. I was made to feel like a burden rather then a paying customer.

Never ever shopped here!! I regret choosing this company for my engagement ring. Me and my bf purchased engagement ring in British Columbia location, the gentleman that assist us sold the ring I wanted in 6.5 (not my size) we were told that we can do size exchange when we’re back in Toronto at any location. So we went to Pickering location first to get my ring size and we were told that my ring does not come with my size (4.5) so they’re gonna do special order which gonna take 6weeks or longer due to upcoming holidays. Our engagement proposal was scheduled first week of November (it was rescheduled obv) and since the special order gonna take time to process we decided to get a new one (different brand as we wanted the proposal to be happened ASAP) we then decided to return it and pickering location told us that they cannot do a return as they have “old computer system” LOL, we then went to this location SQUARE ONE hoping to get a refund and the lady on a red hair told my bf that she won’t be able to return it because the ring had “scratches” on it. WHY WOULD IT BEEN SCRATCHED WHEN WE PURCHASED THEM IN GOOD CONDITION AND NEVER WORN THEM AND IT IS NOT MY SIZE?!!!! It’s also not past 30days since we purchased them (never worn) so Idk where did the scratches came from. The guy in British Columbia have probably sold us the ring that had scratches on it for $5k? The store manager in this location did not even inspect it properly. This is honestly frustrating, can’t even make our engagement proposal happen because of this!! Ridiculous!! Never get your rings in here, they just wanna make that commission but not willing to help you with anything. So disappointing!!!

Bought my wife a 350.00 gold necklace in December and she did not realize she did not have it on and found it in the living room carpet as it snapped in the middle of the chain not on the clasp.I took it in to the store and they said they could do nothing for me as it was purchased 6 months ago.I explained that I would spend 300.00 to 400.00 to buy a thicker chain. They offered to fix it for a price ! and that was all they could do. I have spent close to 5000.00 just in the last year on gifts.I have friends and family members that shop at Michael Hill but after this experience they have lost all of our business.

Had one of the best experience here today with Nick. Very knowledgeable and gave my finace and I alot of options. Didn't go to actually buy today but the deal was too amazing to leave. The staffs friendliness was top notch. There were 2 other ladies in the store that showed how they loved their jobs and that was amazing to see. Thank you Nick and your staff for making this experience memorable
