Pretty rude. When I spoke Mandarin, she spoke English. When I switched to English, she spoke Mandarin. So what language did she want on earth? I asked her for suggestions on the hairstyle. She didn't reply and went straight on to cut my hair. And she asked why I was so worried. How could I feel relaxed if you completely refused communication and behaved in this manner. Finally, the bangs were in bad shape. I asked her if there was any way that could make them better. She kept impatiently repeating she couldn't cut the bangs any shorter. But I never asked her to cut them short. I just wanted her to make the bangs look nice. She either didn't understand me or, more likely, just ignored what I said. I don't feel respected.

This is a great place to get haircut at! The proprietor gave me a great cut based on what I described to her and some pictures as references. She was able to determine as to whether or not a style would suit my face shape, and I was very happy with the results afterwards The price was very reasonable and my hair was cut within 20 minutes (it was fast!). No espresso machines or cosmetic counter here - just a local neighbourhood business owned by a very pleasant hair stylist who is very skilled at her craft and knows how to cut hair quickly, nicely and beautifully. Shelly is by far the most professional hair stylist I have ever known. No matter how your head is shaped, she can recommend a hair cut that suits you! I can't think of a better place to have my hair cut then this place - I've been her loyal customer for the last 10 years, and I'm planning to keep coming back until she retires!FYI - she only take one day off per year (X'mas). I don't think any reasonable person would give her less than 4 star for the professional hair cut they'd received at a fraction of the cost of a regular hair salon.

My family and I were looking for a new barber since our old one was on vacation and the location was pretty much far from our home. We went to visit Gerrard street to find a convenient and inexpensive hair salon where we found this business.Honestly, we're glad we found the place. The lady who runs the hair salon was very kind and honestly she really knows her stuff. We just stated what kind of hair cut we wanted and she delivered it fantastically. She charged us $10 per person's hair cut, which is really reasonable considering how expensive the city has become. Another great experience is that she talks to you about basically anything from family to sports to even culture. It was just an all around fantastic experience.Would highly recommend other to try this place and help out a local small business.

Super fast, nice, inexpensive and does a great job. English is not her first language so I will tend to bring a picture to show her what I am looking for. She makes it happen with a pic every time.
