Alpine Chimney Sweeps & Installation

I hired Steve/Alpine Chimney to do a restoration on the original fireplace of a century home my husband and I had purchased, in Collingwood. Steve was great to work with! A couple of visits were required to establish the scope of the work for WETT certification and both my husband and I were fully confident in understanding what the process would be. A visit to the States for my husband's business, required us to leave town for a few days which gave Steve four full days, including the January 1st holiday, to do the work without us being here He stayed in touch with us while we were away and sent some pictures to show how the work was progressing. He also called us on facetime to explain a few extra challenges he had encountered along the way. Given the age of the home, we knew we needed to be prepared for some unforeseeable issues. Returning to Canada meant a 14 day quarantine and Steve asked me to text him with our approximate arrival time, into Collingwood. He stopped by the house right before we got home and had a fire burning for us on our arrival! He had even picked up the specific logs needed for the first several fires and had a bottle of wine and two glasses on the coffee table when we walked in. We were thrilled to see the fire burning safely away and amused by his thoughtfulness at the little extra touch of wine waiting for us. I would enthusiastically recommend Alpine Chimney to anyone requiring Steve's services!

Steve at Alpine Chimney were incredibly easy to deal with, understood the time constraints we were under for the sale of a property and responsive with communications. Highly recommend the team and will be using them again in the future.

Steve is an honest and fantastic guy. He's busy because he's good. I called a few places trying to get the fireplace in and Steve by far had the most personable phone manner and listened to what we wanted.He got the job done on time and exactly like he said he would and I cannot recommend him enough When we redo the upstairs fireplace, he is going to be the first person I call.

The Alpine chimney team was professional and on time! I had called the main line a week earlier to book and was pleasantly surprised that Jake showed up 30 minutes prior to the booked time. The chimney sweeping by Jake was fast, professional, and done with a great deal of care. We are very happy with their service and they will certainly have our business going forward in the Thornbury area!

I've used Steve in the past but this season has been terrible. I won't go into all the details but I first contacted Steve in October before the firewood burning season. To make a long story short he has stood me up 6 times" Once because of snow and once because of an apparent injury (both understandable). But four other times where he promised to come but didn't follow up with a day or time or any communication. And to be clear

Alpine were extremely responsive and set an appointment with us in a reasonable timeframe when we needed a wet inspection. Steve was here on time, which we appreciated.In addition to performing the wet inspection, we also requested a chimney cleaning at the same time. He made sure there was no mess from the cleaning, putting down drop-cloths and having us move anything in the way. The work was done quickly and professionally.I would highly recommend Steve and his team. Alpine Chimney cares about the quality of their work. Steve will only do a job if he can do it right and with the highest quality.Anyone should rest assumed that they are in good hands when they hire Alpin Chimney Sweeps and Installation.

responded right away to my request for service, sent a very nice young man who was meticulous in doing his work, protecting my floor in front of fireplace and ensuring no dust mess in the living room. Neat and tidy, a real gentleman. Really recommend this company.

Contacted Stephen today about my concerns regarding my sons wood burning fireplace . He was so easy to chat with and very attentive to my concerns . His son Jake came out the same day and was so professional and polite. I would definitely recommend this company, they did an excellent job of cleaning our chimney, and best of all our home was left spotless.

Steve and Alpine are awesome!I had my annual chimney sweep done by the company my condo corp provided (not Alpine). After they were done the workers told me my fireplace had issues and I needed a WETT inspection. They tried to infer that it was required by my insurance company (I confirmed it was not) and that if I had a house fire that originated anywhere near my fireplace I would be responsible. They then offered me their boss’s card and said he could do the inspection and repairs.It all felt like and upsell. So, after some internet research, I decided to call Alpine for a second opinion. Steve was here same day and confirmed what I instinctively knew. There was nothing wrong with my fireplace! Steve could have taken advantage of the situation but instead he was honest and gave me peace of mind!Thank you Alpine!

He made multiple appointments and didn’t show up. Was pretty responsive at first but then communication faded out. Would respond for a while, say he was coming the next week then no follow up. Finally made the decision to use someone else after 2 months of this.
