Red Deer Log Cabins

This is a fantastic family-friendly campground with historical rustic log cabins. The proprietor, Sandra, is super friendly and helpful. There is a small private sandy beach and great opportunities to explore the area by canoe etc. Have stayed there many times now usually with some motorcycle buddies.

My family and friends had a wonderful weekend at Red Deer Log Cabins! We loved the clean cabins, breathtaking views and pet friendly accommodations. Sandra was amazing. We can’t wait to return. I highly recommend for anyone looking for rest and relaxation!

Sandra is very nice and welcoming! Sandra managed to find a cute little cabin for us last minute for labour day weekend! She was gracious enough to upgrade us to a larger cabin after the labour day weekend madness left without us having to ask her. That was very thoughtful of her! The cabins are very clean and comfy and have a great view of the lake. I just wish we caught a fish but that could be our own doing lol

Great cozy place to relax and enjoy nature.

I absolutely loved this place! The cabins were really cute and clean. The bathrooms were clean and I never ran out of hot water while showering and it was super hot. The location was perfect with tons of gorgeous nature everywhere. Close to the Algonquin entrance too. Sandra the owner was quite a character. So sweet and accommodating. She just seemed like a really interesting salt of the earth lady. Honestly I can’t wait to go back. I will definitely be staying here again. Hopefully next time I get to see a moose!

I went there is fall. Beautiful beautiful place, loved the place. Everything was just great, cabins were clean, quite place and wonderful surrounding. Would highly recommend to all and especially who loves the nature. Planning to go again in summer. And owner Sandra was great and really welcoming. Going again to explore things i missed last time. Sorry Sandra, it took me so long to write the review, could have done that earlier. Lol, will c u again anyways.

Absolutely loved our time here. The cabin was clean, right on the water and allowed us to create some fantastic memories. Paddled to the falls which were better in person. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful long weekend at Sandra's place. Sandra is very welcoming and very helpful. Incredible nature. Water is so nice and clean, very good beach and very good sandy bottom of the river. Sunrise kayaking to see the waterfalls was stunning. There is very nice hiking just 15 min drive from the Red Deer, less than 2 hours drive 100 meters deep Barron Canyon, 1hour drive Bonnechere caves. So much to see.Thank you, Sandra, hope we will come again.

We absolutely love coming here. It's so serene and beautiful. Fishing is great and the little sandy beach is so relaxing. Sandra (the owner) is very nice and fun to chat with. She keeps the grounds very clean and appreciates when guests respect her property as well. This is a place to really relax. Not crowded during the week but can busy on the weekends - not like the provincial parks. You can pretty much always find a camping spot here.
