3.4/5The food is decent but way overpriced. The dine-in menu is different from the takeout menu, and the prices seemed abnormally high for the serving sizes. You can, however, expect authentic Japanese food of a certain quality here. The Tempura and Karaage were hot and crispy and quite tasty. We ordered the sushi rolls and Tataki to be shared amongst us and these were good choices as well. The Warayaki Oysters were the only thing we weren’t a fan of as they were a bit fishy.Although the restaurant was quite empty when we visited, our server was absent. We had to waive him down multiple times for water as he seemed overwhelmed serving other tables.Overall, not the best experience despite the polite staff. I was a bit disappointed as we expected better.

My wife and I met a mutual friend here for dinner on a Thursday evening. It was my wife and myself’s first time being there. We were very impressed with the quality of food: it was of excellent value- lots of sushi that tasted great at affordable prices. The staff were pleasant and took the time to explain each individual sushi piece on the special we ordered. The men’s bathroom was also very clean.Below is a picture of the weekday dinner special that I ordered (Monday through Thursday availability). We will definitely look to come here again!

Great atmosphere to hangout with friends with spacious dinning areas! Premium quality of seafood for sashimi lovers! First time trying Japanese style of east coast oyster which is sweet and creamy, most importantly not fishy at all with their signature sauce! They are super flexible with reservation time despite the fact that it is extremely hard to find parking spots near by during the rush hour. The overall experience was great, but it could have been better if there are more selection of different main courses and appetizers.

We visited this place for a V-Day dinner. They'd decorated the place beautifully to fit the vibe. The food was great but I won't say it was exceptional. I've had better sushi for the same or at a lower price. The servers were dressed in kimonos, being true to Japanese culture. We were told that the last call was at 9:30pm and the restaurant would close at 11pm. However our server was persistent on us placing the last order by 9:15pm. Considering our booking was for 9pm, I thought half an hour was enough to decide the mains but we were rushed into it. My wife and I really liked the wasabi they had but couldn't really appreciate it as much since the plates were cleared the moment we took our last bite from a dish, without confirming with us.Overall, their service could improve a tad bit.

Paid parking only with no valet.I came here to try their sushi pizza. It was crunchy on the bottom with salmon on top. I loved it!

Food arrived quick and beautiful presentation but the food wasn't good. The botan ebi shrimp sashimi arrived dry and grey in colour. Unagi don was overly smokey in flavour. Bento box sides were ok, the nigiri was the only thing that was pleasant to eat, it was fresh and had a good rice to fish ratio.

My dad took me here in the late 80’s when I didn’t even know what sushi was. He waited until 9 year old me took a bite before telling me it was raw fish and the red “bubbles” were fish eggs. Today I love sushi and have finally returned! I just picked up take out and it was absolutely delicious! Hands down the best sushi pizza I have ever had in the city! The Sushi Spring Roll was fantastic too, though don’t expect the shrimp to be too big inside. I don’t know what they do so differently or why it tastes better then anywhere else, but you have to order and visit asap if you’re craving authentic Japanese cuisine. Nice to see all the wait staff in kimonos as well.

I enjoyed the grilled black cod very much, buttery soft and tasty. The side pickled radish/cucumber/crab meat that came with the fish is appetizing and delicious as well. The sushi spring roll was a let down though. For its price at $26 for 8 pieces, I would be able to get a much better quality roll elsewhere. Each piece is big but mostly rice.

We came for the experience, and I’ll give 5 Michelin stars for that. The food was alright for me. It was fresh and imported from Japan. Overall, 4 stars seem right. Our bill was almost over 400$ including HST and tips. Overpriced, yes; but if you are one who sees reality as something made out of multilayered experiences, this might be one of them.

We really enjoyed authentic Japanese dinner at this restaurant. According to them, this restaurant is one of the oldest Japanese restaurant in Toronto. I do not know if that is true or not, but what they served tasted real quality Japanese food. As for drinks, they have several choice of Japanese sakes (rice wine) and we can enjoy the difference of their aroma. Please notice that this is my very personal opinion, but their choice of sakes seemed a little bit too sweet, I mean they are good to enjoy by itself, but too sweet to drink with food. So in case you feel the same, it may be a good idea for you to drink a glass of dry white wine, not sake. Their food was quite delicious with white wine. At least I felt so.
