Warm hospitality and attention to details made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. The elegant charm of the building and the delicious food at the restaurants were also delightful.

The hotel service was good and the food and ambiance of the Gaspar restaurant was great. Our room on the 2nd floor was narrow with an exposed brick wall and a view of the port which was perfect for Old Montreal. But the issue of the room was the constant thumping of people walking back and forth which became very irritating. We think our room extended beyond the restaurant below and possibly into the neighboring business. So, I doubt we would take a chance on staying here again. Parking cost is too expensive so use the Montreal parking app to find a spot nearby and cut the cost in half.

We booked a “deluxe” king room as the pictures indicates a good size room with table and two chairs, window seat in most pics. We had specifically requested rooms beside each other as we were travelling with friends. Upon arrival, they had booked our friends into a room on a 1/2 level away from us indicating it was an upgrade which did not look like an upgrade. The room we got was a long narrow room with one chair in the corner and a desk. Certainly not a deluxe room! The walls are not sound proof and you can hear people walking around above you as well as lots of noise in the hallways. The king bed was the absolute worst bed I have ever slept in. The mattress was an older pillow top mattress set upon a low platform bed of which there was no support in the mattress and so lumpy and soft you could not get comfortable. The pillows are hard like slabs of rock and needless to say my husband and I could not sleep at all well in the bed. The hotel was fully booked so no way to change rooms. Spoke to front desk and all they said was sorry about the bed. At the very least , they could have offered a discount or some compensation for the horrible bed. The hotel lobby itself is lovely and the restaurant and bar is great..however I would not stay again. The rooms are basic and I don’t believe that the room we paid for was deluxe compared to other hotels we have stayed at for the high price you pay.

We got engaged on the rooftop of Auberge du Vieux-Port and the hotel and staff made it SO magical! We cannot rave enough this place and those who work there (especially manager Margherita C.)! She worked with my now fiance to personalize every detail - flowers, champagne, macarons and more - it was so perfect. This place went above and beyond, put lovely gifts in our room, and we are so so thankful. As for the hotel itself, not only is the location perfect and central, but the rooms, lobby, restaurants and terrace are stunning - unbelievable quality all around. The food is also amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Auberge du Vieux-Port for a larger occasion, or even a smaller trip - it is truly our favorite place!Thank you for having us and for helping make this life-changing moment so special! We are so appreciative of all of your staff, and we will remember this day forever. We will definitely be back for every anniversary.

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay one night at this quaint old auberge in the Old Port. We had supper at their Taverne Gaspard and the food was ample and delicious. We had a room with a view on the Old Port and the St. Lawrence River. We had the pleasure to meet and chat with our valet Thierry and spoke with Margarita the person at the front desk. On a second trip to Montreal a few months later our party of four tried their brunch and again it was splendid. We really loved the room and food. Koodos to the personnel. Great auberge.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Auberge du Vieux-Port! Beautiful spacious room, fun roof-top terrace restaurant with a view of the old port, delicious breakfast (I've been trying to re-create the yogurt parfait - somehow it just tasted better there!), helpful friendly staff available for whatever you need, and perfect location in Old Montreal! It was a perfect trip!

My husband and I stayed here for one night since our flight arrived late and we were on our way to Quebec City the next morning. We arrived past midnight and the doors were closed for safety reasons so we had to wave down the front desk agent to open the door. We were greeted with him asking us, “you must be New Yorkers right?” Not sure what the reason for that question was for.We proceeded to do the check in process and their system was down so they needed to take a copy of our credit card to process it later on when their system was back up. In the meantime we made small talk with the front desk agent and we mentioned we were on our way to Quebec City and his response was, “Oh, Quebec City sucks…” I’m not sure if maybe he was having a stressful night but our first impression wasn’t the greatest. When we went up to the room, the toilet didn’t work. We were tired and didn’t want to go through switching rooms so we ended up having to remove the top of the toilet and pull the chain every time we had to flush. The pillows were very uncomfortable and you could hear all the cars passing throughout the night. Early in the morning we were woken up by the trash truck right outside our window.. on a Saturday. I know that’s not the hotel’s fault but if you’re a light sleeper you’re going to have a tough time here. Or maybe ask them to put you on a higher floor. We realized there was a necklace on the floor that didn’t belong to us and was probably left behind by the previous guests which made us question the cleanliness of our room.We had breakfast at their restaurant before heading out. They had great options and the service was very good. All in all, this place could use an upgrade in their rooms. But it’s definitely in a very central location which is helpful for first-timers to get to know the area.

We stayed in one of their adjacent loft on St-Vincent street. It was an absolute gem!!! Location was perfect overlooking the Café Olympico and the Bonsecours market. The auberge and their staff lived up to their reputation. From the beginning we were greeted by their valet Thierry. Very polite and helpful. A pleasure to talk too. Margarita was also one of the highlights of our stay. Such a beautiful personality. Loft was very clean and quiet. Comfortable bed and huge shower. Incredible experience. We had brunch and supper at the Gaspar. Very good food but brunch was out of this world. I had the veggie eggs benedict and my son the classic breakfast. Both were perfect. Unlimited mimosas was a nice touch.Overall I would recommend the Auberge to anyone passing threw Montreal. Beautiful location. Professional staff. Great rooms Great food.
