I had a terrible experience using midwives for my prenatal care which resulted in having no care provider and having to find a doctor at 37 weeks. I filed a formal complaint about my midwifery (which was owned by Janna Miller) with the College of Midwives, following which the complaints director at the time, Theresa Barrett, contacted me and we had a call to review my complaint.A year has passed and the only updates I have received were that there were no updates. However I learned on my own that Janna Miller closed the midwifery in March 2022. Then I saw in the news that AHS was advising all former patients to be tested for hepatitis. The owner of that midwifery, Janna Miller, is now a midwife at Theresa Barrett's midwifery.I'm so grateful I finally ended up with proper medical care from actual medical professionals - MEDICAL DOCTORS. I will never recommend midwives to anyone, particularly since there seems to be no active governing body or proper checks and balances to ensure that women receive good medical care. Midwives should have to be overseen by medical doctors, and not just permitted to go rogue. They simply do not have the education or qualifications to be overseeing a patient on their own.

If I could give 0 stars I would, the midwives I had from there ( Heidi vergo) were so unprofessional and it resulted with my baby’s death and severe damage of the body, I wish I had gone with the doctors and do it at the hospital, my baby would be alive. There’s nothing that can make up for loosing my baby and going through the most traumatic experience of my life. It should be illegal to have midwives if they don’t know how to their job.
