Our go-to for date nights. Always need a reservation - sometimes a bit busier but great food always. Best calamari you’ll ever have.

We drove from Tobermory to get a break from American cuisine and it was totally worth it. A small wine selection but good options avay by the glass, some cocktails too. They were out of bone marrow but the carpaccio was very delicate. The Schnitzel was perfect, the pork shoulder was also very good with some tasty spaetzle. The flourless chocolate cake was ok too, would try a soft option next time.

My son and had the absolute pleasure of dining at your restaurant. We started with the calamari and then the pickerel and the schnitzel. Everything was delicious and beautiful fresh vegetables!! We will be back for sure. The server was a delight and the atmosphere quaint and cost.Thank you, Janice Nichols

The food on the menu is very good. However, it should be noted that the menu is limited.The drink menu is also small, although they say they will mix anything you ask for. Wine options are limited unless you want to purchase by the bottle.We were able to get our reservation with 48-hour notice in the down season, but I would expect a full week may be needed in the busy season.

Excellent food and absolutely incredible service from the most friendly waitress. The steak and duck fat potatoes were AMAZING. The pork schnitzel was awesome and the cheese sauce was EPIC (carrots were also really really good). Intimate and inviting atmosphere, we were seated in a private room. I highly recommend and would dine here again, hands down! Even my one year old really loved the food haha

Really enjoyed eating here. Super nice atmosphere; there was a nice mix of people who were dressed up and people just dressed casually. Food was amazing and I found you got a good serving for the price. I loved how the menu wasn't huge, which usually means that all the dishes are well thought out and that was true for this place. The schnitzel was so good and the cauliflower appetizer was great too. I definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Had such an amazing dinner here last weekend- from the stellar service to the delicious food. The bone marrow appetizer was next level. My partner never tried marrow before but by the end he was literally drooling over it and fighting me for the last bite. (It also paired nicely with the Sidecar and Whiskey Sour cocktails). The pickerel was melt-in-your-mouth good, had crispy skin and is apparently local and caught fresh every week. The Schnitzel was the best I’ve ever had. It was thin, crispy, a generous portion and it came with roshti which is like a super tasty potato pancake/latke. I will be dreaming of this meal for a long time to come and can’t wait to visit again. The Berkshire is a must if you are ever in the vicinity!

It is above 4.5/5 fine dine with a cozy look and feeling in the area. To people travelling to Port Elgin for business or pleasure I definitely recommend the Berkshire. Very nice schnitzels they got. Appetizers are awesome as well.I rated it 4.5 because there is always room for improvement but the experience was very good this time as always when I visit Port Elgin.

The food and service here were fantastic, they have a patio as well. The dishes were well crafted and very tasty - seasoning just right. The drinks were also generous and with a punch (loved it).

Very good food. The chefs know how to put a delicious plate together. Fish and schnitzel excellent, cauliflower appie & beet salad exceptional, ceasar salad too wet for my liking but both the men at my table loved it. Would go back. Anytime.
