This venue is gorgeous! Beautifully set on the river, inside is as gorgeous as the scenery. The accommodations are luxurious and tasteful. They have thought of every little detail to make your experience a memory you will never forget. The food is delicious and an experience for your taste buds. The service is excellent and professional. This place is a must have for any event!

Make sure to ask for a discount!Nancy loves to support local!Bit of a long one but I want to share my experience with Nancy from the post and beam…Nancy contacted me on Facebook marketplace, she saw some pictures and wanted the muskoka chairs I had listed,She wanted a discount as “she likes to support local”(not sure how a discount supports local but we agreed to a price)I tried to contact her the night before delivery with no response, got ahold of her the day of delivery and told her I’m an hour away, she said to “trust her and she’d send an etransfer”I delivered the chairs over an hour and a half away, sent some pictures to her and she’s now asking for an invoice, these chairs were bought on Facebook market place, we can’t provide an invoice we’re not a business.We’ve tried to explain that to Nancy but she was under the impression we were a business for what ever reason.She kindly let me know that she has family working for the Canadian revenue agency, and she needs an invoice so she can write off part of the purchase of her discounted locally supported muskoka chairs.If we were to provide an invoice it would have to be at a higher rate but she’s now not willing to do thatThere was no mention of an invoice until days after the order was placed and delivered.She’s said she would drop off the chairs as we can’t provide that invoice, I waited for a week for that to happen but…She’s claimed she’s since called revenue Canada on me as she feels wronged… once again this was Facebook marketplace…(would any normal person get an invoice for anything other than maybe a car??)She’s refused to drop off the chairs, and has since claimed(hasn’t come through yet) to sent payment for the original amount as her family in the cra has informed her she just needs a picture of the add and the transferI would think twice before supporting Nancy and the post and beam!Any issues she has with you she might contact revenue Canada and report any thing she can think of Factual or not!

It's breathtaking. Perfect for a weekend wedding. The bedrooms were luxurious and plenty of space. The service is exceptional and the cuisine was perfection.

We were fortunate enough to have had the very first wedding here. Typically, being the first, you would expect some hiccups and wrinkles in the process that would need ironed out for the future but Nancy and Dave absolutely NAILED IT. I honestly cannot say enough good things about these people and I want to scream it from the rooftops. The venue was spotless clean when we arrived, grounds were manicured and freshly cut and overall it was very clear that they take great pride in their property.The attention to detail, especially for someone picky like me, was TOP NOTCH. I was in awe at all the little things they thought about and had prepared for us. Water and snacks at every bedside, cold beverages on arrival, firewood ready to go (Dave even offered to start the fire for us) and an easy going attitude that you really don't find at many venues these days.We truly felt at home here and that was due to everything that Nancy and Dave did for us. I will never forget these people for what they did for us and how we were treated. Thank you Nancy and Dave, the absolute best hosts out there. 11 out of 10. I would have given 100 stars if I could.

Really incredible venue for big groups. The barn is on a beautiful lot with lots of wide open areas for get-togethers and lawn games.Inside the barn is very spacious: a big common area on the ground floor off of the kitchen, a little lounge on the 2nd floor, and then the games room on the 3rd floor. Lots of room to spread out and find privacy when needed, and lots of room for everyone to get together for activities and meetings.Bedrooms were neat and contemporary. Almost every bedroom has an en suite washroom, otherwise there's never one too far away.Nancy was a wonderful host. She's easy to communicate with and can recommend and organize local excursions if you're interested.Great time there: would highly recommend!

The Post and Beam has special touches everywhere you look!It's the perfect place to relax and gather with friends & family in a comfortable chic atmosphere while enjoying incredible food in a beautiful country setting. You never want to leave then when you do, you can't wait for an opportunity to plan your next visit.The owners have thought of everything!!
