It's quite simple to stroll right past this tranquil little Indian eatery if you're not looking because it's housed in the restaurant's basement, The Diplomat, at 43 King William St. Once inside, you're greeted by a warm but straightforward decor that includes a few small Buddha reliefs and some lovely prints of Indian subcontinental mountain ranges. The decor is straightforward and practical. The bar offers a small assortment of fairly priced alcoholic drinks, including a few domestic beer alternatives, wines, and liquors. When you need suggestions on what to order, the waitresses are helpful and attentive and pay close attention to you.

I recently visited an Indian restaurant in my area and had an amazing experience. The food was excellent - full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was also outstanding - the waiters were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience.

Amazing flavours prepared with such care and sincerity in each dish. This will always be my favourite Indian restaurant to eat at! You won't be dissatisfied with this place, I guarantee it. The same attention to detail that is placed into every meal is also given to vegan options; you can taste it and the wait will be well worth it. You MUST eat here and enjoy yourself. Thank you, employees. At a minimum, I'll meet you once per week.

Refer to pictures!!I have never written a google review but I'm so so so disappointed with my order that I had to write a review. I read some of the reviews and I feel like maybe its only dine in that is good or it's ppl that work there that made the reviews.I ordered the bread platter for $16.99(don't waste you money). 1st off for $16.99 I was expecting a lot more bread then there was! The so called platter might as well have been plain nan with 2 very small corners of of roti(i put a hockey card on top for reference of size, 2 aloo slices that were so thin that you couldn't even tell that they were aloo(refer to pictures for both roti and the aloo which shows the thickness) more like, I don't know there was basically nothing different other then some spices...I also order Coconut curry with chicken, i got 6 little cubes of chicken in my really thing coconut curry. The taste was okay but very sweet which I'm not use to when ordering Indian food.I am so mad that I don't know if I want to scream or cry. Never will I order from here again and stick with Masala grill which is amazing and their portion size is worth the money. I feel like I paid a large amount of money for a $10 order. I did order a bit later so maybe i got what was left. i dont know, just very upset!

We went there for a late lunch, ordered chai, samosa chat,naan,madras fish curry and Tama boodi. Everything tasted freshly made and delicious with balanced flavors . Food was served quickly and we loved the quiet ambience.

Their combo meals were a little bit on the expensive side being priced at over $19 per person. The butter chicken also came out a little bit too sweet for some of us. There was a decent number of diners present when we dined in on a rainy Thursday evening.What did not sit well with me was their menu pricing was different from what you were charged at the machine. This was true for the seafood combo I ordered. I went with fish which is about a dollar cheaper compared to the shrimp. When I went to pay, I noticed that I have been charged the more expensive item for their seafood combo.I brought it up with the server and she initially mentioned that it was due to tax being applied. I argued again and explained clearly that it cannot be due to the tax and that I was clearly charged the higher rate. After some more arguing and back and forth which was accentuated more due to the problem with communication from their end, she then just mentioned that the seafood combo was just priced that way with the machine.I still did not accept this reasoning but decided to pay for the higher-priced false advertising seeing that the conversation was just going nowhere.

Enjoyed our dinner at Sagarmatha! We got fish pakora, naan, a fish curry, and chicken korma.Everything was very flavourful! Possibly even too flavourful? For example, the korma was very sweet and the fish curry (forgot which one we got) had a bold taste as well. But they went great with the naan, and it's definitely better than not having any flavour.Portion sizes and prices were reasonable. Waitress was nice as well. The food took a while to come out, but almost all the tables were full so it makes sense.Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!

The food is wonderful, fresh, and really amazing. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, with pleasant personnel who provide excellent customer service. I've tried practically every restaurant in the Hamilton area that serves delicious Indian and Nepali food, but Sagarmatha Curry Palace stands out as the best overall. Even the food is so hygienic, and the dining room is neat and clean. The only drawback to this location is a little bit of a delay in dining service, but the great meal makes the wait worthwhile. Additionally, I would like to address a point regarding food item prices. I assure you that glancing at its menu will surprise you. There are a range of affordable, incredibly delicious foods accessible.

The sauce and the food are both great, but something ive noticed in my most recent order. The protein is severely lacking compared to how they're used to. Wed get butter chicken and korma and it'd like 20% chicken and 80% sauce. They protein seems fair less than they used to give out.

Went here for dinner with my brother. This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Hamilton. You absolutely have to come here. Do not go to the Diplomat on top. This place is insane.
