Splashville Inc.

This place was good before covid. And this year when we tried to go back we didn't feel same as before: instead of being helpful, the reception was really cold. Without giving any useful information she simply asked us to go back home and check their website which doesn't have detailed info at all. And when talked to their supervisor on the phone we still could not feel the enthusiasm and flexibility: i.e. she's like 'base on the contract, we can not give you .....'. Excuse me! Was I talking to the Harvard university or a private swimming school? I wonder if the Inc. changed the owner or something else. I don't like the way they run their business.

I strongly advise to take your kids to other lessons where they teach swim and safety skills. The toddler program is basically an open swim time with no instruction. It isn’t at all what is advertised on their website. An instructor will take the child for a “swim” by holding them and walking in the pool for 1 min maybe 3-4 times during the session and that’s it. Usually the child is crying because they’re not used to this person. While the young teachers are caring and kind; there is no training or instruction for them. We had two children enrolled and after many unanswered phone calls and messages was finally able to get a hold of the manager Lori. After more delay she got back to me once she reviewed the camera footage from our classes and agreed with me that there was no instruction happening in the classes (5 wks had passed in our term) she promised to join the next 2 sessions and that we’d see an improvement and she would reimburse me a portion of the tuition. She came to one lesson 2 weeks later and tried to run the class (vs train the teacher) but didn’t show up again and sadly the class didn’t change. I called multiple times again and she finally called me back to state that she would review reimbursement for a few sessions and it’s been weeks and again she is unresponsive. I am disappointed with the lack of customer service and overall how expensive the term is per child with no instruction, teaching, safety skills, basics at all. You’re better off bringing your child to a family swim at literally any other pool.Showers were frequently broken, change rooms are tidy but not clean, pool for private lessons is very cold, kids were shivering the entire time.

Great swimming class. The person that manages the centre runs a right ship and safety and health is a top priority. Teachers are great and genuinely care about well being ( mental and emotional) of the students. We absolutely love this place for out little one. Could not be happier. Thank you splashville family!

Our daughter has been swimming here for the past 5 years. Every teacher, deck supervisor, and staff has been wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. She learns so much with every lesson and loves it!

My daughter celebrated her 8th birthday here yesterday(May 28,2023) and we had the so much fun. The staffs were very nice and approachable.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Splashville. I signed up for adult swim lessons and unfortunately my instructor didn’t seem to be practiced in teaching. Though I gave it a shot until I realized this wasn’t for me.So I decided to ask for a refund after taking 3 classes. (I was told I can receive a refund but they’d keep a 75$ fee.) I was okay with that. Until I came in for the refund and was told they’ll give me a call back.When I didn’t receive a call after a week, I called in myself to see the progress of my refund. They don’t show me any paperwork, they weren’t able to pull up how much I paid in cash or debit. There was a lot of trouble opening and viewing how I paid for the amount of classes I took etc. And so I was told when they figure out the amount I’ll get a refund of the cash but not the debit. At this point I’m exhausted with the poor customer service so I agreed.A couple of days later I’m told everything will go on credit and they “didn’t tell” me I’d get cash back at all. Which wasn’t true. Again very disappointed it’s more than 200$ at this point. For terrible classes and poor service.Today I got a call out of no where being told they’ll give me back the cash portion if I came in. So I did. I’m glad I kept my cool and really was not hostile at all.But I have to share the experience because I believe they can do better especially with the amount of time and money customers invest in them.- The staff rarely pick up the phone.- The pools are supposed to be heated but aren’t enough.- you’re not given receipts- slow respond time- instructors socialize more than teach

We love Splashville. The facility is very clean. Registration is very simple and smooth. The staff is amazing. We love Ms Jessica. She has been wonderful with out child.

Very pleased with the quality of the facility and the attentiveness to parents and swimmers. Our son has made amazing progress and we drive from Caledon every week for this place! The two pools are great, especially the little one for smaller kids is a hit. Desk staff are always friendly and have responded to any concerns we have.

Extremely disappointed with Splashville. I registered my daughter to help her get over her fear of the water, and learn how to swim. Since I registered 2 weeks late, I was promised 2 makeup classes. Although my daughter progressed, she did require more support, no one ever called to schedule her makeup classes. She could have done better if she received them. No one ever picks up the phone there, or returns calls when you leave a message. I expressed my concern the last class, and was offered a credit of 2 classes on my account. Not a chance that l would want to go back there!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Terrible experience here- tried to cancel my son’s enrolment before his first class and had someone reach out to smooth things over.Initially wanted to cancel because they took my money and never provided the materials for me to review and sign before his first class. Even had the centre closed during regular business hours so I couldn’t pick them up in person. As everyone has mentioned here they don’t answer their phone either and when they do you’ll always be told you’ll get a call back and you never do.Staff are aloof and very irresponsible, I was told to keep my son home if he has a cough or runny nose because of COVID. Moronic policing but I explained he’s asthmatic and those are both symptoms of asthma. Had to keep my son home from several classes and when I inquired for make up classes I was told I’ll be getting a call back to arrange them.Call never came and the program ended and when I requested to be refunded for the classes he had to miss I get the run around from the abrasive ‘manager’. I never signed anything nor had a chance to read anything and never received a copy of anything I supposedly signed.The instructors are friendly but don’t spend enough time one on one with your child. Also no one on the pool deck properly supervises the children in the pool and one little girl nearly drowned during my sons class. If you aren't watching your child like a hawk don’t expect them to.Enroll your kids in another swim program and avoid this centre.
