Lochside Park

Playground here could use an upgrade as it's still sand. But grass and baseball diamonds are well kept and the concession is cheap so thanks guys.

Lots of free parking and off the beaten track. Great play area for small children.

Great field for a gorge game!

Great trail flat lots to see.However, most other bikers aren't at all friendly. Not even time for a nod or a smile. They blow by you no bell no verbal notice nothing

Lovely park focused on sports activities.

This is a good playground for older toddlers, as it has a digger, swings, sand, large slide/climb toy, & a fun jeep to crawl around in. There are some baby swings & sand play for youngers. This park is NOT FENCED & NO BATHROOMS. (Technically, there are bathrooms that are locked at the concession stand.) The main feature of this park are the many sports fields, soccer, baseball, & tennis. Also, there is a nice biking, paved trail starting after the parking lot (just watch where all the bikes are going). This is not worth the trip, if you must drive here. If you are nearby, stop in with your sand shovels & enjoy having a toddler throw dirt at you. ;)

Such a good park. Lots of parking, adjacent to the Lochside trail if you are biking. Nicely maintained by Saanich. It has swings, climbing bars, and a few other things in the playground. It also has a tennis court, soccer fields and 3 baseball diamonds.
