If you need surveying work done in the Erie County area, I highly recommend David Laird Associates. They were great to work with, and they completed the work quickly. I found them to be priced competitively with others who I contacted for quotes. The excellent customer service sold me.

Wonderful customer service! Of all the places we called they were quick to respond to us when we were looking to find our property boundaries. Professional and communicated everything to us. Very pleased and I have recommended the business to everyone whom I know is looking.

Scheduled a lot boundary survey to be done to figure out where our properly starts & ends, before putting in any improvements. About a month later someone showed up in unmarked vehicle on Sunday when we weren't home & put the markers/stakes in. If we didn't have Ring cameras, we would've had no idea that someone ever showed up. There was no heads-up call to let us know someone was going to come. According to the secretary, you need to request to be notified - something we weren't told before the fact. Obviously due to us not being home & not talking to the guy who put the markers in, we haven't had anything explained to us about our lot, like the size, where it starts, from the road or from the sidewalk, where it ends. Nothing was mentioned about not getting any paperwork to prove what & who did the boundary marking, as well as the fact that the paperwork is extra $$$ & wasn't included in the estimate price that I was given. I literally got a bill in a mail a week later saying that I had a payment due by end of the month without any explanation as to what for exactly. As someone who runs a business working on other people's homes, this seems like someone dropped a ball. Majority of the reviews here seemed to have had their expectations met. Spent $650 on getting property corners marked & have nothing to show for it, & now DLA want additional $225 for paperwork. No explanation as to what documents we'll get for that additional $225 - whether that's just a receipt, and/or certificate, and/or plat plan - you know, some kind of proof of what was done. Very disappointed.

The survey crew went above and beyond to make sure that the markers placed were accurate. The team answered or found answers for all of the questions that we had and helped us to find the next steps that we needed to take for our project. I would highly recommend David Laird Associates.

We consulted with Laird Surveying after multiple contractor recommendations. John made the process seamless. We were impressed with the timeline of the project completion and prompt communication. He provided an explanation of all of the details regarding house placement, grading requirements, limitations for the land etc. He gave us many options, listened to our wants/needs, and came up with a plan that worked well for us. John went above and beyond to help us develop an optimal plan for our future building project. We would use him for additional projects in the future without hesitation!

I hired Laird Surveying recently to identify a shared property line for my mother's property in Millcreek. We were very happy with the process/communication from both office and field staff, especially since I was doing so from out of town and not able to be there on the ground. Laird was very accommodating and responsive to my questions (and patient with my learning curve!) . They also did their best to stick with the original quote even though, I know that they spent additional time completing the survey beyond what they estimated. I absolutely recommend Laird & Associates.
