Took a one day course with Aimee earlier this year. I had never re-upholstered anything so appreciated her supportive teaching skills. I was thrilled to come home with a chair that had been in my parents home my whole life that now sits proudly and prominently in my home. Trying to decide on my next project but I know another ‘chair in day’ is in my future.

My mum and I took an upholstery workshop with Aimee years ago, and still talk about it years later. Before the class, Aimee checked our chair design and gave us tips and measurements so we could shop for our choice of material, knowing it would be suitable. At the workshop, Aimee was very 'hands-off' instead allowing you to try all the tools and 'get your hands dirty'. She's friendly, confident, and teaches you clearly and with patience. The environment was lots of fun, you could chat with those working next to you, and everyone got to look at everyones projects/progress at the end. After the workshop, my mum even felt confident enough to try and tackle the rest of the 4 dining chairs at home - rather successfully!

Loved working with Aimee. I have done 5 projects with Aimee, each progressively more difficult or requiring new skills. She is so patient and encouraging and I have loved every minute, including the frustrating ones! Looking forward to my next project when I am back in NS.

I recently had a living room worth of furniture recovered by Aimee. It was not clear to me in the beginning if some of the furniture was worth recovering, but Aimee made me feel confident it was. The furniture looks better than new, and has a second life. It took a while to get in queue, but it's a pandemic and Aimee works alone. It was well worth the wait, pandemic or not. I would be more than happy to work with Aimee again.

Our son had a unique piece of furniture that was originally owned by his Grandmother. It was a floor lounge that was shaped like a fish that he remembered from his childhood. It had been recovered once but now required not only recovering but also some structural renovation. Aimee was recommended by a family friend so we contacted her and she did a fantastic job on both the structural renovation and the reupholstering. The final product was an improvement on the original. She was also able to complete the work quickly to meet our timeline to deliver it to my son in Quebec. I took one of the chair re-upholstery workshops last year. With Aimee's help I was able to completely redo the upholstery on my mid-century arm chair in just one day. This was a project that had been literally gathering dust for over three years, and to have it done and with such expert help was amazing. If you have on old ugly chair or couch with potential, I highly suggest one of the workshops or her full services, if you dont have the inclination to do it yourself.

We went back and forth many times about whether we should toss two vintage chairs owned by my husband's grandfather or find the right person to bring them back to life. We are so grateful to find Aimee and are extremely pleased with her professional work. She was very responsive, helped us narrow down fabric choices by listening to our needs but not being pushy and her attention to detail in her work was excellent. We would strongly recommend using her if you have a special piece in your life to rework. Thank you Aimee.
