Shoppers Drug Mart

Horrible customer service at the pharmacy, they never answer the phone or apologize for the unnecessary wait time. My medication has been lost multiple times without an explanation, pharmacy has submitted refill requests to my clinic which they don’t actually receive. I’ve been given misinformation on vaccines and medications and every time I hope it gets better I leave the pharmacy wanting to move locations/pharmacies.

Was prescribed medication for prior to surgery. The female pharmacist said to take it 3 days prior to the surgery. The box contained 10 vials and the instructions on the label said to take 3 days prior.Called the doctor to confirm I was to take 10, NOPE!!! It's a anti blood clotting medication and 10 vials would have possibly been fatal. The prescription was for 1 vial to take not the whole package.This is not the 1st screw up but one that could have been so much worse.Double check everything, always, ypu never know.

The pharmacy never answers their phones. Often times its at least a 30 minute wait, sometimes they hang up and it will be x3 30 minute waits until someone finally answers. The staff is friendly but everything else is completely disorganized. I will have medicated sent in and it wont be filled for days, and then I will have to call and no one will answer.

If I could give this pharmacy a -5, I would do it. The worst pharmacy ever! They are so disorganized, it's like watching a Three Stooges routine while they look for your prescription at the Pick-up desk. The worst part is that many seniors go here who are using canes, walkers, etc, and have to wait at that counter for as long as or longer than 10-15 minutes while they search for their prescription. That was after waiting in line for longer than that. Disgusting!I guess SDM corporate never checks on their pharmacies or just doesn't care as nothing is ever done to improve it. You would think corporate would want to ensure the SDM name is adhered to with high standards. I will now never go to any Shopper's Drug Mart for my prescription. They do not deserve my business.

Pharmacy counter is terrible. I will purposely wait hours, most times days before arriving to pick up my prescription and it is NEVER ready. Always an hour wait before I can pick it up and THAT is after waiting in line for 20 minutes just to hear that news. I’m done with this pharmacy. I strongly recommend you do your homework (as I do sorely wish in retrospect I had done) before selecting this particular store.

The pharmacy's service is really bad. What a consultant can say is 'I don't understand', 'What kind of symptoms do you have', and 'Visit a walk-in'. There is no will to understand patients and guardians at all. This is a place where anyone can dress in white and get a part-time job.

worst pharmacy in Guelph. They’ll saw they’re renewing your prescription or calling your doctor for a refill, and they just don’t. You need to stay on top of them to ensure they’re doing what they’re supposed to? otherwise they just don’t and you could wait days or weeks for your prescription. They pretended to call my doctor for 2 weeks once and today they’ve decided that they “refilled” my prescription at the stone road pharmacy but never bother to fax it in.

Another review to confirm the ones that have come before. Individually the staff is pleasant but a completely smooth order from start to finish is an exception and not the norm. Phones are never answered (writing this after a being on hold for 16 minutes, and having called 3 times earlier today where my call was never answered and I had to give up). Wait times in-person in the queue are long, staff always seem unsure about where in the pharmacy to find your prescription, and often medication is never in stock. Most scripts they are able to fill half the prescription and you have to wait for the remainder, but no-one will call to say it is in. And several times I have shown up for pick up and the medication is not in at all. This is a central location with so much potential - a wasted opportunity on the part of Shopper's.

Just had a older woman who works there search my bag and take out my medical stuff infront of other customers and go is this for you?" She took my package I just picked up from post office and goes "this from the pharmacy" implying I stole it. She saw me pay at the self checkout. I will never go back she was watching me like a hawk the whole time I was in the store. Happy to know I look like a criminal. She was also rude and cold when she realized I hadn't stolen from the store I literally just spent 70 dollars on products and have come here my whole life. Shame on you"

Well I’m glad I’m not alone on the pharmacy bit, just recently transferred to this pharmacy and has been a horrible every time, never enough pills and always owing me more, and they lose my payment info the past 3 times. Going to get my doctor to transfer me back to my old pharmacy, I don’t mind travelling the extra bit for reliable service.
