Bought my first Trek Marlin 5 from Pictou County Cycle and the staff was awesome. They are very knowledgeable and the owner goes above and beyond for his customers. I can honestly say that this will be the place I buy 90% of my gear from no matter what. They make you feel like part of the community and have no problem sharing tips and tricks to help maintain your new bike. Best experience I've had in a bike shop by far.

There a bunch of scammers, installed a new detailer, chain, and a shifter when I just asked for a tune up, charged 250$ for it and the shifter does not even tell you what gear your in, my brakes work worse then before, they super over tightened the bolt on my brakes, and greased my grips for some reason so the slide around everywhere -100/10 do not recommend

My bike broke a few km outside of New Glasgow. I babied it to this repair shop where they fixed it at a moment's notice for just $10. They even gave me a free Allen key and let me use their bathroom! 10/10 would break down nearby again!

I normally don't bother writing reviews, I believe this is a review that is realistic and deserves an honest opinion where it is due.The owners of this shop are arrogant and ignorant. If you're not there to spend a whole bunch and money they want nothing to do with you. Plus they belittle their employees in front of customers. Very UN-professional. If anyone asked me of a decent bike shop in the area I would NOT direct them to Pictou County Cycle & Repair. I would say get the parts or repair done yourself, you'll save time and money in the long run.I had a rims trued at this shop and the finished product was UN-satisfactory! Usually when you true a wheel ALL the spokes are tightened and not one should be finger loose. I paid over $70 for a un-satisfactory job.I give this one star to their young employee, he is knowledgeable, modest, and has great customer service skills. Maybe the owner should take a few minutes and learn from this employee and on how to treat customers.Regards,Disappointed customer

Pretty much anything and everything you'd need for a petal bike, and if not they'll order the part you need or a new bike if that's what you want!!!

I agree 196% with the last poster.I have seen this shop grow from a tiny hole in the wall on Provost street to their current home on Westville Road.The staff members who work there, don't just fix and sell bikes and fitness equipment, they are also active in the building of the local community.Never before have I seen a small business with such a big heart.Worth the drive from away, and worth stopping in just to talk bikes or check out the many cool things in the store.If you are looking for honest sales people who will go out of their way to keep you coming back again and again with a huge grin, this is your shop.You don't just get a bike, you get friends for life at Pictou County Cycle.

Stopped in to get my bike repaired and I felt so welcomed. The staff here are by far the kindest people I’ve ever met, especially the owner Clint who assisted me and walked through all my many options and the process. Everyone is so knowledgeable and I felt secure in my decision to come here.I was welcome to either come back in short amount of time or to hang out and check out the inventory. They have tons of bikes and all the gear for someone who enjoys riding. I felt almost like I was hanging out with friends,I highly recommend this place and will be coming back again for sure!
