So I went here today to test drive a Civic- potentially serious buyer for a specific car. My first question is always can I drive the car on my own, because I prefer to drive to drive it on my own, and was told most likely would just need to check with management. Then after about 20 minutes, 10-15 of which were spent looking for a temporary plate (that no one else in the dealership would provide assistance- when he asked a colleague he was rudely interrupted and cut off and essentially ignored) I was told they would have to accompany me. I asked the sales rep to check with his manager and he did and came back to say I could not because of insurance issues- strangely enough I have test driven many other cars, including much higher end luxury cars and this has never been an issue. Very annoying and a waste of my time. The sales rep proceeded to ask me about financing and a trade in but I am just not willing to spend 30k on a used car and not even be able to drive it. Just to add I am a middle aged professional female. I am curious to know if they would have had the same policy regarding driving the vehicle if I had come in from work in my professional suit. Additionally I was told the car had a clean carfax and on my own inspection could see that the vehicle had bad damage on the left side that the sales rep did NOT know about. I’m fine if this is your policy but just make it clear at the start so people don’t waste their time. I would never spend this amount of money without being able to really get a feel for the car myself. Needless to say I will take my business elsewhere.

Wow I should've trusted my gut on this one. From the start the communication is pretty terrible here. Like they were doing me a favour taking my money.Anyways. I bought a 2015 Odyssey last week from them. A few days later the door pulley cable snaps. They said tough luck, that it's buyer beware" my door doesn't even shut properly now. I drove it to my mechanic to have it closed permanently. This repair is a 1500$ job and it's my tough luck it snapped after opening the door prob 5 times since I bought it.They did offer if I drove it to them (with the door wide open) they would help me shut it

I have had about 10 Hondas and getting the last two through Jeff Kerr at clarington Honda was an excellent experience. He worked very hard to get my HRV last year when cars were still scarce. The entire process was painless and Jeff’s knowledge of the cars is exemplary.

Lease process was fast, easy and pretty straightforward but after that you are forgotten about. I have called a dozen times to get information on my lease and no one has called me back. People always seem to be on lunch. Getting an oil change plan to be at the dealership the entire day. Fixing a part on my car I am pretty sure they used a used part and charged me for a brand new one. I had a mark on the bumper and there is no way they didn't notice that. I only gave a 2 because the lease process was satisfactory, If I was rating based on the after care its a zero for me.If you want to just buy and never hear from them again, this is the right spot.
