I believe most people visiting a specialized health clinic wish they were somewhere else; I certainly did when I first arrived at the Toronto Heart Clinic. However, during my two recent visits, I was surprised by the warmth, courtesy, professionalism, thoroughness and care exhibited by everyone I met – the administrative employees, the technicians and the specialist managing my case, Dr. Chow.Wait times were minimal, everyone was pleasant, the facilities were bright and clean, and all procedures and results were explained as if you were part of the team, rather than the patient. I was very happy with my experience.

The staff is welcoming and efficient. My concern is that over the last almost 4 years at the THC I've been seen by 4 different doctors. I've found this confusing. Initially diagnosed with AFib in 2019, when I recently went to St Mike's hospital they said they didn't receive enough information from THC to confirm the diagnosis. I don't feel I am getting continuity of care which is important to me.

Toronto Heart Clinic is NOT good for the Heart.I had an appointment on Tuesday March 7th at 12 30.Ended up leaving at 1 15 due to the fact that they had absolutely no idea when I would be able to see the only doctor working at the centre. Why do Doctors not care about other Humans time and do not have the decency to call, text, email, anything, to inform them of the delays, instead of packing waiting rooms.Totally disgusted in there lack of Professionalism....

People working there seem to be nice. Just be careful about the appointment time, when they say 11:30, it actually means 11:15. When they say 12, it actually means 11:45. Triple confirm the exact time for your appointment as if you arrive late, the technician won't see you.

Most responsive and reliable clinic my dad had a heart pain issue. The reception and the nurses are very informative and they follow up with the second and third appointment, and make sure the patients and their family informed about upcoming appointments and things to watch out for.

As a Healthcare Professional myself, I know and understand that systems put in place do not make it easy for anyone working in the industry. I myself left the burdens of clinical life to move into Case Management. That said, I will never hold back with any good or bad experience.**Reception and booking: In this day and age, with limited time, I was happy to know that they communicated by e-mail. It was convenient for me personally and there is a digital trail in the process. My first appointment was cancelled last minute due to the snow storm in Toronto (17 Jan 2022). The 2nd one I had developed a cold so they had to cancel it. I do not blame them as they cannot take a risk given the type of clients/patients they are seeing. But each time, I offered the dates and times I was available and they were able to accommodate one of it. Reception over e-mail or phone were very friendly and professional. For me personally, organisation on the administrative end is key to keep a facility or clinic in flow. They have maintained this and my experience was quite positive.**Day of appointment: The place is located on the 9th floor. The entrance is clean and open. There were 3 in reception who performed the intake process quickly. The Clinical Tech brought me to a small room with instructions on how to dress or undress.Once done, she lead me to the exam room. The exam room was clean and bright; the treadmill looks through the windows and there was a lot of natural light.I did not have to wait long before beginning my exam. Both the Clinical & Cardiology Technologist introduced themselves and went over what was going to take place. I felt comfortable with both of them as they guided me through the process. They told me who the cardiologist would be (Dr. Edwards), who soon came in to introduce himself. The process was fluid and comfortable. The only uncomfortable part was wearing the mask during the stress test; it is what it is and no fault of the team; they need to be protected as well. While I recognise much of my inability to catch my breath through a mask was psychological, it was still uncomfortable. However, the Team acknowledged this and told me I could stop anytime". Dr Chow Chi Ming is a very personable, extremely knowledgeable and caring Cardiologist. Appointment was on time and along with his staff he was very positive during stress testing and took the time after testing to explain the results and answer questions in easy to understand terms. Follow up appointment was booked and confirmed very efficiently by his staff within 2 days of visit. Overall a very comfortable environment with very nice people.

Dr. Ahmad did a great job with my first ever Cardiologist appointment . He explained everything to me (Echo/ECG results) in a very clear manner. He was also kind, friendly and extremely patient. I really appreciate meeting him and covering all of my concerns.

Really lovely staff who were patient while performing my tests and explained what they were doing throughout. Given the somewhat invasive nature of the tests, the patient care here made the overall experience as comfortable as it could be!
