Bronte Creek Provincial Park (camping area)
It's a very good park for both day use or spending a few nights and soak in some fresh air. You can do many fun stuff, like camping using private and semi-private spots; hiking, biking or mountain biking using hiking trails with different length and level of difficulty; You can also use the flat unleash area for your dog to have fun all they want. They also have washrooms and showers beside the campsite. Nice spot for all family members from different generations to picnic, be active and have fun.

Nice quiet campground which has some pretty good campsites. The place is too close to 2 major cities but this can be an advantage too for someone from outside of Toronto and GTA who would like to explore the area without spending too much money on accommodation. It is a family friendly campground too.For people living in GTA this campground and park provides a safe and easy way to try out camping. If you forget something at home or the weather has changed you can return home anytime. Great learn-to-camp location for families.

Pros: Very clean park. Washrooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly. The trail to the creek from campground is gorgeous. We stayed in the noise-free area and loved it.Cons: The amount of firewood sold for 9.95 was small. There are some tick areas to avoid.

If I could give negative five stars I would....When I checked in I informed the guys at the check-in gate that we had not yet decided if we were staying for one or two nights... I told them that I would decide the next day if I would stay another night....Five minutes after checkout time the park wardens show up to tell me that I need to leave because somebody already had my spot booked for a week in advance... So I said okay I will pack up and leave....I started putting things away and moving the slides in immediately... And only five more minutes later the park wardens show up again to tell me they're giving me a $95 fine for staying past checkout time...I explained to the park wardens that I had told the front gate personnel that I was possibly staying a second day and so I would just exercise my right to pay for the second day for only $50...The park wardens again lie to my face and tell me that they are fully booked so they are not accepting that I stay a second day and issue the fine anyway. As an Albertan coming to visit Ontario I highly recommend that you avoid all Ontario provincial park campgrounds because they are nothing more than a scam...$50 for one night is already overpriced... You have to purchase five pieces of wood for ten bucks because they don't even supply firewood for the campsites, and then they run around slapping hundred-dollar fines and anyone who's 2:05 2 p.m. check out time...We counted twenty-seven empty lots and we only went around 3/4 of 1 loop out of the three loops that they have....Stay away from Ontario provincial park campgrounds it's just another way for the government to scam money from the citizens!

We love visiting the Bronte Creek campground in the fall. The weather is cooler making the camp fires that much more enjoyable. The leaves are falling and the landscape shows off it's best highlights. Two of the campground loops are closed making for wonderful walks. Less crowded, less noise, less hurried...less is more.

This park alone is worth buying the Ontario’s Provincial Park Yearly pass. From hiking, 18km mountain biking trails and doggy paradise!

Bit of a mixed bag. Mon to Thurs the park is great! Quiet & relaxing. Sites are generously sized with 15/30 amp svc. Clean & well maintained grounds. Roadways are generally pothole free. Some sharp 90° turns may challenge larger (35'+) rigs. Many trails to explore! Lots of play equipment for kidz to enjoy. Showers/bathrooms were very clean! They even post a cleaning schedule! Flush toilets & potable water throughout the park. Park staff were always friendly & courteous! Free access to the massive day park on the other side of the creek. You can even view the entire campground with Google Street View!!Downside. Weekenders. Multiple dogs barking day & nite. Kids screaming constantly- even though I wasn't anywhere near a playground. People @ 2am shouting (mom I forgot the toothpaste) on the way to the bathrooms, I had my windows open @ nite. The Warden's were pro-active & made regular rounds. They did what they could. But other campers & constant barking dogs were awful. If your looking for a quick getaway & don't want to drive far, or you have barking dogs & loud kidz this is your park. If you want mostly peace, relaxation & plan to stay over the weekend, go elsewhere. This was my first visit. I've enjoyed many other Ontario Parks Campgrounds. Majority are fantastic. But I doubt I'll ever return here. It's unfortunate....

This place is a Hidden Gem inside of a city! We booked here last minute and are so glad we did!The campgrounds are spacious and not crammed in like we are typically used to seeing in the US!I've seen a lot of the reviews complaining about all of the rules, but that's actually what makes it so wonderful. You can actually enjoy yourself and enjoy nature while being respectful of those around you.Even though we have an RV, the shower is small, so we use theirs, and it was absolutely wonderful. We had easily found all of the restrooms and showers, etc. because there are fresh mowed paths and well marked signs to guide us.There is a ton of nature around. Area has many native plants filling all the nooks and crannies. It literally couldn't be more well groomed. We ended up staying at site 113. They do not have direct water hookups but do have electricity. But there are plenty of waterspouts available to fill up if needed. Each of the sites has a little mowed area, a dirt or gravel drive, a fire pit, and a picnic table. There are plenty of grocery stores around to get all that you need. And the camp store has a few odds and ends. And I think they had the driest firewood I've ever seen offered at a campsite! The staff was very nice, everything was well kept and clean. I would definitely come back to this area and have a nice relaxing stay! We are so glad we stumbled upon it.You even get free access to the park that is attached to this. If you have to go around to a different entrance, but there are lots of trails and lots of things to do!

A Fantastic Camping Experience with Excellent FacilitiesLoved the spacious and well-defined campsites. Each site provided ample room for setting up tents and camp gear, and the natural surroundings offered a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The campground also had designated fire pits, which allowed for enjoyable evenings around the campfire. Electrical hookups for each site was available but very long extension wires are needed for comfortable access. The restroom and shower facilities were considerably clean and well-equipped.
